<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Philadelphia 76ers will sign 6-foot-6 forward Josh Davis, sources told HoopsHype.com. Davis, named MVP of the CBA last season, was coveted by several NBA teams after strong summer league game last July, Davis scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for the opposing Timerwolves.</div> <div align="center">Link</div> I'm not sure if this 100% official, but this according to some sources. There is not much known about this individual, but I'll see what I can dig up about him.
Another SF,I dont know why we are sigining him then because we are already loaded with 2 guards and SF's.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Another SF,I dont know why we are sigining him then because we are already loaded with 2 guards and SF's.</div> Well I don't see him getting that much minutes to being with. They probably signed him for emergencies use only, i.e. backup SF injury. Also, here is some information I found about this character. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Outlook: Josh is a tough player down on the block and a strong rebounder (averaged 9.6 rpg. in the CBA in 2003-04 [4th best in league] and is one of the top rebounder in Wyoming school history) who is also an outstanding three point shooter as evidenced by his 41% three point percentage in the CBA (7th best in the league). He is an excellent scorer and is also a good shot blocker (2nd all-time leading shotblocker in Wyoming history behind Theo Ratliff) who moves well on offense without the ball. He doesn't need the ball all of the time and is efficient from the floor. He is aggressive, hard-working and one of the most coachable players you will ever meet. He looks as though he will be an NBA player (has been with the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks) and he could become a star overseas.</div> <div align="center">Josh Davis File</div> I highlighted some portions of this outlook that may be appealing to some you. Well, judging from his capabilities, he sounds like Jim O'Brien type of player. I wonder if his scoring ability along with his shot blocking ability will force him into the rotation? Well, I'm looking forward to seeing this guy play; maybe if someone gets injured he could be a good backup SF that gets spot up minutes. Who knows, but I think we would have been better off with a PF/C. We?re a little to deep at the 3 spot.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Can someone post some pics of this dude?</div> Well I have no pictures, but the 76ers made if official today that Josh Davis is now a 76er and not "just a body" for training camp. The terms of the contract were not disclosed, but it's more than likely it's a one-year deal. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Free agent forward Josh Davis, the CBA's MVP last season, signed with the Philadelphia 76ers.
