I got this off of another message board....take it for what it's worth! <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">*Disclaimer* Don't take every word of this for absolute truth, but I just spoke with a guy I work with at the Celts (let's just say he's much much more important than me, somewhere around the VP level) who has been out to Waltham to watch a few practices. Here's what he had to say: - 14 of our 15 roster guys are in Waltham working out right now. Only Payton is not there. To this guy's knowledge, we've never had this kind of turnout this early before. - The Knicks and Clippers only have 2 guys each in their practice facilities working out right now. The 76ers only have one. That makes our 14 guy turnout look amazing. - They're playing upwards of 10 games every day. - Ricky and Allen are BATTLING. I'm talking dunking on each other, talking trash, playing intense defense, and getting really fired up if their team loses. - Ricky's work ethic has apparently impressed everybody. Aside from busting it physically in training and in games, he's also staying late with the coaches to watch film. - Pierce, in this guy's words, "is in the best shape I've ever seen him in." - Raef is playing, but with pain. At this point it looks like he'll be playing in pain for the rest of his career. - Googs is playing surprisingly well. - There is a 99% chance that GP will be playing for us next year. - Lastly, he said "for the first time in a long time, there's a definate swagger out there." </div>
I believe it, it goes right along with everything I've heard from legitimate sources. I particularly like what it says about Ricky and Tony Allen. Believe it or not but I think Ricky can learn alot from the rookie as far as attitude is concerned. Allen shows a great level of tenacity, aggressiveness, and intensity that Ricky seems to only show once and a while. Having a guy like Tony Allen around, maybe Ricky will start improving in that department and become more of the complete player that we all wish he would be. Davis has the ability to be one of the elite players in this league if he can become consistent on both sides of the floor.
Good news for the Celtics, Ricky Davis is a good player and imagine him with a work ethic. Tony Allen seems to be duking it out to get better and make sure he show the management how deserving he is of the spot he's recieved. Who is going to be the Celtics starting SG, Ricky Davis or Jiri Welsch?

Most of these things, I've also read in other publications. Great, great news. I would love to see Ricky and Tony Allen going at it. That would be exciting. The more I think about it, the more I think it's a possibility that Davis might not get traded. I think he's really turned around and will prove a lot of people wrong once the C's start winning.
See, that's the problem, in my eyes. All this is already information out there. It would take nothing to put them all together and say something like this. This person claims to work for the C's, but Celtics employees sign a privacy disclaimer, which would make the person posting this in violation of that and thus subject to termination. IP tracing systems what they are, if you've got the resources, you can trace an IP back to the street address, depending on host cooperation. Either this person doesn't care about thier job, doesn't know that thier putting thier job at risk, or is simply making the whole thing up to make a name for themselves. It's probably not the ruse I'm may seem to be making it out to be, but I'm always weary of stuff like this being "leaked", because the last time I saw something like this, the person who posted it made the information being passed sound perfectly legitimate and that they "worked for the team". The rumor spread like wildfire across the net. Problem was, a day later the site admins disclosed, after banning the poster, that the poster was a 12 year old kid who not only didn't work for the team, but lived halfway across the country from that perspective team. I'm not trying to discount you 44, I'm just going to take anything like this with a grain of salt, due to past experience. Please don't be offended by that, it's just the way I am.
sounds good yall. rick davis is gonna get nasty all year long. i am so excited over this season its gonna be good!
