<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Two young players the Raptors will be counting on big-time this season, Chris Bosh and Rafael Araujo, will be coming to camp next month a little out of shape. And that's a good thing. Bosh, who was a first-team NBA all-rookie centre last season, is heavier and stronger, while Araujo, the club's first-round draft pick this year, is lighter and stronger. Just what the doctor ordered. </div> Link Well, from the article, it seems that Bosh is bigger and more ready to take on the big guys in the league than he was last season. Araujo, meanwhile, has gotten stronger, which might be a good thing considering that the Raptors has to play Shaq four times a year now.
This is good news, Bosh and Araujo will have a big role in the raptors success this year. Bosh has gotten heavier which he needs too, and Araujo is lighter not as much fat on him now so thats good too.
Its always good to here that younger players are working hard in the offseason,I expect Bosh to have a solid sophmore season and its good that he is bulking up because he might have to play C for the Raps at times.Araujo will have a big role on this team because he is really the Raps best center, since the Raps dont have much depth at C then he might play some more minutes then he would on othre teams.
bosh doesnt need to put on too much bulk. his slim wireyness (sp?) is what made him so agile and athletic. its a big part of his game. id like him to get stronger but not too much bulkier
I doubt that Bosh put on a lot of bulk...probably just a little. I think that he would only need to put on a lot of bulk if he was going to be playing centre again. Now that he probably won't be, he's fine as he is...but a couple of more pounds won't hurt.
in bosh's case don't know if the additional weight is a good thing. he looked sluggish in summer league, hopefully he's better adjusted now.
I'm really looking forward to see Bosh play, he was one of my favorite PFs last season. If Carter Leaves, it will be his time to shine.
caught a summer league game vs charlotte and Araujo looked fantastic...he hussled...made some 20 footers which i didnt know was in his game...and seemed to be an adept rebounder and defender. What impressed me was his shoot...it was pretty smooth, maybe better than bosh's.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting youn6-1:</div><div class="quote_post">Bosh Could Be The Next Kg =d</div> Athletically, there is a possibility, but u just don't see that fire in his eyes yet, that u did when KG was young. Guys like Kobe, KG, AI all have the eye of the tiger. Thats whats the difference between them and Carter, Jermaine Oneal, and Paul Pierce. I expect bosh to become in Jermaine Oneal's league next year.
In some aspects, it's good to have an icy temperament. Remember that Raptors-Rockets game last year where Bosh went for 25 points and during the last seconds of the fourth-quarter, he calmly sinks in the game-tying three pointer? The Raps later went on to win that game. So in that regard, sometimes its beneficial if you're not pumped up to the extent that you have that drive and energy, but can't figure out what the hell is going on.
