It's funny that he wants to play in New York considering he can barely take the media here. A couple of bad games and the New York media and fans will eat him alive. I guess he doesn't realize that the pastures aren't always greener on the other side, just look at how Tracy and Marbury have had little or no success after they asked to be traded so they could be the "stars". Babcock is right, the team does not owe Vince anything since he is still under contract and he has shown his true colours through this whole thing. The team comes first, not catering to Vince's demands. He really needs a good kick in the ass.

so what jenike! if training camp hasnt started yet, then it hasnt started. B-flame, if vince goes by the contract rules and listens to babcock then he wont be traded, but i dont understand why u would want him on your team when he wants out!

lol bobcock isnt gunna trade him he should *profanity removed* just like vince is and make him play the rest of his contact with toronto
dj premium plus : "gay what a baby after the way he's been treated in toronto." True, they've treated him good. But they did it for a reason. Vince treated them to 3 spectacular years and then one half of a great year. Give it a rest on how he whines too much and hes a big baby and he is "gay." He is one whining, gay, baby that is sure fun to watch.
Gjonc...Tmac and Shaq were going to be unrestrictic free agents next year I think. Tmac for sure. Shaq was traded because Kobe said he wouldn't play with Shaq anymore. That's the difference.

Vince Carter wants out? I can't believe it. This is the best kept secret. If we can't get Ray Allen, don't trade Vince. Do we have to trade Vince? No. If he plays with the Raps this season, he can only rise his value if he really wants he gets traded. If he mopes about it and plays like he did 2 years ago, then he's staying in TO. Nobody will want him except the Mavs and Knicks.
...^ that would be dumb imo, if he doesn't want ot be there, then the gm should know...and try to deal him off because if he deosn't want to play there obviously he won't give his full.... btw, there is anothe thread on this...someone shoudl merge it
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">that sounds good.</div> Yea but would Washington want to Vince to Memphis for Bonzi Wells, S&T Stromile Swift [6-7 mil], and a 1st round pick [it will be low] or we add someone and they give Earl Watson too. ......anyways, the Raptors don't have to trade him, but you don't want your best player complaining and whining all season long. It will hurt the team moral, hurt the chemistry, and make him a cancer to the team, so you either trade him or deal with that.
I think Stromile Swift is a free agent, so it'd have to be a sign and trade deal. But i think he's comin here baby, to NYC, they can give up many players, except for marbury, they can trade Houston and tim thomas, kurt thomas, and maybe hardaway.
