But former great Clyde Drexler, named to the Hall last weekend, wants to get back on the court. Drexler, 42, said Thursday is he seriously considering returning to the NBA and lists the Nuggets as a possibility. "If someone with a chance to win a championship would call, I'd consider it," said the 6-foot-6, 222-pound Drexler, a 10-time all-star who retired in 1998. "I know I could do it." Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe, a former teammate of Drexler's, is intrigued by the idea. He also has a roster spot available for a backup shooting guard and money available under the salary cap. </div> Link I don't know what to say...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Martin:</div><div class="quote_post">Link I don't know what to say...</div> Dnever should consider themselves blessed if he comes and plays with the Nuggets. He won't try to take over the team, like Jordan did with the Wizards. He knows his role. And he's the type of player who can do EVERYTHING. He'll hit the outside shot, he can post up, he'll rebound, he's an exceptional passer, and he can get steals. He may not be able to penetrate to the basket like before, but he's so skilled he'll contributed in a myriad of other ways. If he gets maybe 20 minutes a game, he'll only help your team.

Because I was in Asia at the time, I was able to see it on TV. Drexler, even though idle for 3 years at the time, looked to be in great shape and even scored 20+ points in one game. No reason to think he can't be that good again.
Wow I thought he wanted to help coach are something. Not actually come back to the game. ^ You say he was 39 at that time and it was 3 years since the last time he played in actual games like that. But it's been another 3 years and he's 42 now. IDK, I guess he could do ok. I'm just still in that he wants to come back.
damn sounds good to me but all i wanna know is, can he still produce at 43? that and who would yall rather have, the legend(not in his prime), or greg bucker the solid young defensive player?
Yeah I saw this too. That would be so wierd. I not like to see him return though. I loved the highlights I saw of him, but I think it's too late for a return. He should've come back in 2000 at the latest if he really wanted to. I really hope he thinks long and hard about this before doing anything irrational.
