<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Taking the first step in an effort to refurbish his image, Jazz forward Carlos Boozer has signed with respected agent Henry Thomas. Boozer was widely vilified this summer for allegedly reneging on a verbal agreement with the Cavs and instead signing a $68 million free agent contract with Utah. Boozer's former agent, Rob Pelinka, resigned as a result of the deal and returned his reported $2 million-plus commission. Thomas boasts among his clients solid-citizen types such as Finley, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade (a friend of Boozer's). He said he doesn't believe Boozer's image has been irreparably harmed by his controversial departure from Cleveland. "He's already done some positive things that are going to help put him in a positive light again," Thomas says. "He wants to be involved in the community in Salt Lake City."</div> Linkage
Why are you going to fire a guy who made you 68 million dollars, he shouldn't care about his image. He is only in his 3rd season. He should have stuck it out with this guy. But it does seem like this Thomas guy has the yuong big names, and I guess Booz wants to be one of them.

Actually Pelinka fired Boozer, and now Boozer has hired a new agent. If I was an NBA player I think I would pull a John Stockton not have an agent, then I could have all of my money to myself.
^Unless you are very smart money-wise then you shouldn't, which more than half of the players in the NBA aren't. Because you could either under analyze your value, or over analyze it an offend the team you are trying to deal with. Interesting I guess how Pelinka fired Booz, since he was probably making him a whole lot of money.
