Post your Starters and what you would do Offensively and Defensively if YOU were the coach. Please leave trade talking out of it, only work with the team you have now.

    If I were the Coach...

    Starters
    1-SN, 2-QR, 3-JJ, 4-SM, 5-AS, and 6-JV

    Offensively
I'd stay away from a one-scorer type of offense, and try to have a free-flowing motion offense. The ball would go to the mismatches on the floor at the time.

In must-score situations, Id run a 2-man game with Nash and JJ; who have both proven to be able to hit the jumper and drive strong in the clutch. I'd have Shawn cut through the middle for quick hitters from Steve, and have Q and Amare on the weak side for rebound and kickout-rotations.

    Defensively
I'd have a quick-moving trapping defense. I'd mostly have JJ pick up the PG at full and ride him til he gets to half, then have either Q or Steve trap his weak side, and force him to pass over the top. I'd have Shawn be the race-horse and go get any weak pass for the open dunk. Amare would be the back man and block any shot that might come through the lane. Of course sooner or later the opponent will catch on, then I'd run a good strong deny-man and pressure the ball at all times. The team's main goal would be to stop the ball before it got to our weak-point; the post. If it does we'll trap on the first dribble, similar to what we did to Tim Duncan in that playoff series.

has nothing to do with this thread but just imagine the suns being in the position they are and luckily hiring phil jackson that would be amazing with all the yooung and talented players they would be contenders for at least 8 0r 10 years to come and would probably have a better run than the lakers. Hey i can dream cant i??

jaiden, your line-up sounds good, but it'll never work. Matrix can't play 4 and Amare refuses to play 5. Marion is not a banger, and any 4 in the West would kill him. I would go 1-Nash, 2-JJ, 3-Marion, 4-STAT, 5-Hunter, and 6-QRich.

    Offense:
I'd run my offense through Amare. Then he has 4 outside threats to kick out to, and a 5th with QRich. If the defense goes into zone then have Nash and JJ keep trying to penetrate while Marion slashes to clean up any missed layups or to get a pass back door.

    Defense:
With a weak middle, I'd run a trap defense similar to jadiens using Marion as the rotating defender trying to pick off errand passes. If the ball goes low, STAT and Hunter/Zarko/Vroman should be able to handle themselves most of the time.

Wow, if the Suns use your plan and start 6 players and the other teams all start 5 they are gonna KICK ASS. I'm just kidding -- I had to. LOL

The suns have 7 or 8 players that deserve to start for an NBA team. I think they will juggle the starting line up depending on who they are facing that particular night. Nash is getting on in years and will play less minutes and with so much young guard talent to back him up, I just don't see a problem.

    I'll go with downtown

But the Qrich pick up still makes no sense to me. Right now.
