<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">HARRIS CONSIDERED: The Nuggets have an interest in guard Lucious Harrris, who cleared waivers Friday after New Jersey let him go Wednesday. "Sure," Vandeweghe said. "We'll see what his situation is." Harris, 33, averaged 6.9 points last season and has a career average of 7.5 points over 11 seasons.</div> <div align="center">Link</div> Let's say Clyde "The Glyde" Drexler does not return, (which I believe he won't) Lucious Harris will be a good pickup. He would be a perfect complementary player for this team. I'm still baffled on why he was waived by the Nets in the first place. But nonetheless, if he does sign with the Nuggets, this would be great. Obviously, he would be the back up SG to Voshon Lenard which would be completely fine.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm still baffled on why he was waived by the Nets in the first place. </div> The only reason is because new Nets owner Ratner is a business man and not a Bball fan, so he doesn't care about the quality of the team, just the $$. This was purely a financial move, and I feel bad for Nets fans. And that's coming from a Celtics fan. Seems Ratner is worse than D Sterling. But I do agree that this would be a great pick-up for the Nuggets. Harris is a capable scorer, a veteran, a decent 3% threat, and knows his role. I hope you guys sign him. Denver's looking real good these days, can't wait to watch them.
This would be an excellent move by the Nuggets, if they do acquire Harris. This will just add one more weapon to there repitoire.I predict a top 5 seed for the Nuggets. And Harris would only help them, possibly 4th if he comes, since they need a quality backup SG badly.
I think Harris would be great for Denver. He'd give them another good scoring option off the bench and would add more depth to a team that already has some good depth with Boykins and Nene coming off the bench. I think this would be a phenomenal move that would help them a ton.
This would be a great signing for the Nuggets. He would be a great backup at SG and he can play backup pg too if needed. He would be a great addition to the team.
I would deffiantly want to sign Lu Harris,he is a solid player and the Nuggets are looking to sign another guard and I think Harris would be a better option(instead of Buckner) for the Nuggets,he brings them a solid scorer off the bench and is solid in the other aspects of the game also. But the question is will they pursue Harris or Buckner because I doubt they will be able to sign both, and Buckner left Philly just to play in Denver,so I am sure if they picked up Harris instead, Buckner would be screwed.
If Harris signs for Denver, they will then sign Buckner to the league min. The reason why Denver havn't signed Buckner yet is due to him deciding to wait till KV spends his remaining 2.3 million worth of cap space.
