Kobe Bryant, after being booed off stage, reportedly shoved illusionist David Copperfield aside at Las Vegas' World Music Awards, it was reported Monday.

Bryant could not be reached for comment, but Copperfield, through a spokesman, commented on the mini-altercation.

(Kobe) didn't push me. I pushed him and I have the DNA to prove it, the illusionist said. [IMG]

Key word...reportedly. What a bunch of BS...anything the media can do to squeeze more juice out of Kobe's reputation.

From what I've heard, Copperfield is a jerk anyway. So I could care less honestly.

It's fake. One link is to an enquirer type of thing and the other link is to a gossip columnist that is getting her "facts" from the first link. It's obvious since Kobe obviously wasn't booed at the Award show, it was all love for Kobe.

I was thinking it was somebody else. David Copperfield, oh well whatever. Now if it was David Blain then it'd be a different story. His magic is real. [IMG] Whoo!

Before anyone comes in this thread and points fingers at Kobe, I guess you guys (the ones that believe the incident) didn't watch the WMA's...because he was getting standing ovations, and he had to wait a little while before he could talk. At least he didn't walk out with his arms all stretched and his eyes wide open with his huge smile. He looked sharp in a suit, came out and did his job by introducing Usher...had no confrontation whatsoever, and then you could hear chants of "Kobe, Kobe" out in the audience after Usher's performance was over.

People, don't believe everything you hear. The WMA's were live, on television, and the crowd did exactly what I said. I don't see how some of you guys feed off of another man's problems. It's like you are the quickest to jump and point fingers, yet Kobe has yet to be proven guilty for anything, and won't be guilty of anything except putting a little red and black on a poster this season...whatever you can see of Shaq's jersey from the ground...in the crowd...wherever he'll be located.

Uh, "a spy". I think I want more evidence then that. I mean, that's kinda hard for me to believe. Any "spy" could make such a claim.

    Kobe got standing ovations?
That's crazy. Atleast we know the crowd appreciates him. Things look brighter for him.
I hate the American media, half of the things are extremely ignorant and in this case, false.
They are just publishing this story to further destroy Kobe's image but Kobe's image is only destroyed to the American public that don't do the background research on stories and believe everything they hear.
An 'average Joe' hears this and will go "Oh, He's a rapist and on top of that he's an a-hole."
    American News is useless.

I really dont care much for this kinda stuff cause its Kobe's personal business and I couldn't care less... but here are three good reasons I'm pretty doubtful this happened.

Reason #1: Kobe just came off a rape charge and is finally free, I highly doubt he would be "flirting" with dancers in such a public place like the WMA's..

Reason #2: If you were mad about being booed off stage, Usher isn't exactly the kind of music that fits the mood.. Getting excited about some love song when you're that pissed off....?

Reason #3: If I remember correctly this David Copperfield guy isn't tall... and Kobe is atleast 6 inches taller than him.. if not more. So if that's the case, do you really need to push him out of the way to see Usher peforming....??

Ohwell this is something we will probably never know the truth to anyway.

<font color="Red">I was flipping through and I stopped to watch it. He got on and I was like WHAT!!! I heard people cheering and chanting KOBE, KOBE! This "source" is someone that wanted to tell their friends that they got in the paper.

Now watch Esquire has "exclusive photos" of the incident. Complete Bullshiznit. (Sorry notmuchgame) [IMG]

I actually first saw this posted on NBA.com linking to ESPN.com. I went back about an hour later, and it was gone.

If I were Kobe, I would seriously contemplate suing. Slander is not cool.
