There has been smack talk lately about Augmon not being able to put points on the board, and that his days as a scorer are long gone. Well just to set the record straight, I have searched for the remaining players from the 1991 NBA Draft (what's left of them) and collected their stats from last season to prove that at 36 yrs of age, Augmon can still score. Here are the stats of those old school vets: 1. Stacey Augmon-5.8 pts, 18 double digit-games and season high of 21 2. Steve Smith-5.0 pts, 13 double digit-games and season high of 25 3. Kenny Anderson-6.0 pts, 10 double-digit games and season high of 14 4. Dikembe Mutombo-5.6 pts, 9 double-digit games and season high of 18 5. Dale Davis-4.4 pts, 6 double-digit games and season high of 15 6. Rick Fox-4.8 pts, 4 double-digit games and season high of 11 7. Doug Overton-3.7 pts, 6 double-digit games and season high of 16 Augmon also set some personal best's last season with the Hornets. 1. Most Total Points Scored (397) in 6 seasons 2. Most FGs Made (143) in 6 seasons 3. Most FTs Made (110) in 8 seasons 4. 21 points was his highest output in 8 seasons 5. 1st 3 pointer hit in 6 seasons He may not be the scorer he once was in UNLV and Atlanta, and he may not be relied upon to score whilst in Orlando, but he can still run the break and finish with the best of them. Although his FG % has dropped over the last 4 seasons, he's still a career .472 FG shooter, and .728 FT shooter, which are decent numbers for a SG/SF. Augmon can provide instant offense for Orlando when called upon. He certainly still knows how to score points!
