The 6-foot-3 shooting guard was left unprotected in the expansion draft for the Charlotte Bobcats. The team was allowed to protect eight players, and point guard Steve Blake, a former Terrapins teammate, was one player the Wizards protected.

If the club does not commit to Dixon for a fourth season, at $2.1 million, he will become an unrestricted free agent after this season. </div>

They can't lose Juan he will be one of the backbones of the team this year, and the bench leader. I hope they pick up his contrat, he is one of there most valuable players.

No he really isnt, he is a horrible decision maker...he is only good when we are down in the game, and with Blake being better than we thought he would be, he moved down another step..losing him would only hurt us a little bit, seeing as he is a hometown boy.

Huh? The team definately doesn't need Juan, he's not a PG, just a very mall SG. He can steal, but he plays lazy defense, and we don't need him at all, Steve Blake is the Earl Watson of the team, and Dixon isn't even a Tory Bell for the team.

They should let him go, he needs to go to another team where he'll be needed more.

I beg to differ... Juan can be an important asset. He does need to step it up this Season. I dont think of him being a pt guard in the first place, and i think the Wizards shouldnt push him to play that position. He plays the best Defense out there i wouldnt call him lazy when i see him jumping and sliding to get the ball. Wizards should keep J. Dixon. They need to stick with a core and allow the team to grow together. And Juan Dixon should be apart of that core.

I couldnt agree more wit Jojo, Juan is a great Defensive player(not if he were to get posted up by a big 2 gaurd, but he plays terrific D off of the ball! He brings a spark with him off of the bench! If he learns how to play more efficiently with his size then he could be a great player( he is just as big as AI), so i say we offer him a decent contract, and keep him!
