I'd make the follwing moves (at least for now)

    1a - Cut Derrius Thompson
1b - Sign Plaxico Burress Dolphins WR coach was his college coach

2a - Sign Brad Hopkins LT If Titans release him
2b - cut Wade Smith or Jerman

3 - Draft Derrick Johnson LB Texas

yea Blackadder ur hired. lol i like those moves. I too would get Brad Hopkins, but id also go for 2 more good offensive lineman, im not sure if id cut Derrius Thompson, but id probably cut Robert Baker and sign Plaxico Burress. Ive never heard of Derrick Johnson, but id make a try for that Cedric Benson guy

i dont understand NFL managers though, if you look at the ESPN 2005 Free Agent list, there are a TON of people who teams could sign and make themselves a better team with. There are TONS of offensive lineman who could make Miami a better offensive team, so why wont our general manager sign these people???

yea sometimes it almost seems like it. Look at Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees, they ALWAYS sign the top players. Now why cant Miami do that?? It IS Miami, where all the old rich people live, im sure Miami has a big income [IMG]

Baseball has no salary cap, the Yankees can(and do) spend whatever they want to bring in players....heres another problem, over the last few years, the Yankees have signed every player they wanted and their payroll is approaching $200 mil, but how many titles has that gotten them this decade?....not even 1....the Patriots meanwhile, jettison individual stars and bring in cheap role players, how many titles have they won doing that? 3....you dont sign a guy just because hes a good football player, he has to fit your system and your cap structure....

its what he wants to do not what they are doing. and even if you have a big income doesnt mean that you can sign as many players as you want. there is a salery cap unlike baseball as beef pointed out. I like salary cap much better it makes the game better to watch and follow. its gonna be funny in 2006 when the players union and the MLB's contract is up. its gonna be the NHL all over again cause the MLB gonna want a salary cap and the players are gonna say no. can you say lock out

ya know here in Canada, the salary cap for the CFL teams are 2.5 million. The football players in Canada dont even make a quarter of what NFL players do...and u see the NFL players complaining they dont make enough money, or they want more money? wow what a bunch of babies. Or the NHL, they cant seem to start the season cuz the players want more money...apparently making 4 million a year isnt enough, wow.

and whats happening with Rob Konrad?? What ever happened to fullbacks running the ball?? I remember 3-6 years ago the starting runningback got hurt for Miami, and Stanley Pritchet was sent in, THEN Stanley Pritchett got hurt, and Rob Konrad was sent in. Rob Konrad did a fantastic job running the ball, i dont see why they dont use fullbacks to run anymore...or better yet, they dont use Rob Konrad at all??
Can someone also explain to me Brock Forsey?? He seems pretty good. And hes white too, ive never seen a starting runningback who is white. [IMG]

i think Miami needs to try and sign Edgerrin James or Shaun Alexander, AND instead of picking up Cedric Benson, they should pick up a top quarterback in college....look at Big Ben Roethlisberger, he was picked...what, 8th? And hes like one of the best (id say) quarterback in the NFL.
