This trade wouldnt go down bacause the Raptors wont trade VC unless they get a star that will fill seats,Baron Davis wouldnt fill that need for the Raptors because the Hornets were 28th in attendance last year. Even though the deal is pretty much even imo it wont happen, the Hornets are being just as strict when it comes to trading BD as that Raptors are to trading VC.

As I already said before, the deal is just a trade of unhappy superstars. But either way - compare the two: Scoring: Even Passing: Baron Rebound: Even (Vince has more statistically, but Baron is smaller) Fan Base: Vince Complaining: Even Injuries: Even Regardless, these guys probably aren't going to get happier if they are traded to TO/NO. Neither team is going anywhere anytime soon unless they get other players to help them.

The city is not a big market, and is arguably the worst market in the league, even behind Memphis. If Carter goes there, expect the attendance to go up for a while just out of the fans' curiosity of a new star, but don't think it will stay for long. Toronto, on the other hand, is a huge market and will sell out basically 2 out of 3 games. Case in point, when the Raptors were losing a hell lot of games two seasons and Carter sidelined with injury, the team still had near-sellouts for almost every game.

Toronto fans don't come out to see one player, they come out to see a basketball game. Be it Bosh or Baron, Raps fan just want the W. Attendance, Vince or no Vince, will be high.
This is probably the best TO will get offered for VC, and vice versa for NO..but like Ice said neither stars would be happy because these teams are not going anywhere...
^ I disagree about the Raptors. How are they not going anywhere. The team is probably in it's best shape since 3 years ago. The only thing that has been holding the Raptors back are injuries. New Orleans on the other hand, is definitely not going anywhere now that they're in the west.
No matter who the Raptors get, they won't get equal value for Vince. First off they will not get Shaq, Kobe, Ai, Lebron, Tmac, Francis, or any star for Vince. So whats the point. Just wake him up, cuz he puts fans in the seats, and u never know when this guy becomes selfish. I can't wait.
Well they arent really going anywhere because they havent made the playoffs in a while, the current team they have may be the best one they have had in 3 years, but that doesnt mean they are going anywhere. Even though the Raptors arent going anywhere the Hornets are the team that isnt going any where fast,so I doubt VC would want to be put in that situation.
^^but again...it doesnt matter what VC wants or doesnt want. if babs gets a good offer, he'll take it im sure. vince's wishes dont enter into it. im not too keen on this trade idea. iv had enough of injured players who shoot WAY too much. the difference between a player jacking up too many 3's and a player jacking up too many off balance fade-aways is the lesser of two evils. although its entirely possible that both players are over their injury problems...id rather stick with vince then take on another player that COULD have the same problems. id rather trade vince, donyell and a 1st round draft pick for jamaal magloire, david west and a 1st round draft pick. lets stop trying to sugar coat it...lets just rebuild. a foundation of cb4 and magloire is a GREAT place to start..especially in the east. It will prolly never happen though =

abdur rahim plays a 4 and we already have Bosh, Marshall, Woods and Arujo who will play those spots. There is no room for abdur rahim on the Raps roster. It just wouldn't make sense. Plus abdur rahim is not worth VC straight up, so why would you throw murray in there?

The reason he wants out of Portland is because he wants to start, and he refused Portland's offer of starting at SF. At this stage in his career where he's played PF for the past few years, he is now too slow and not as agile to play the small forward. Secondly, the Blazers drafted Sebastian Telfair that high for a reason. They needed a point guard for the future, so what makes you think that they would trade him for Lamond Murray?

Telfair might not be something big in the future, but the Blazers obviously thought of him to have nabbed him with the 13th pick, when they had the 22nd and 23rd picks too. While most of us don't make much of Telfair, the Blazers obviously do and would not trade him easily, if at all.
