The Timberwolves have great players but some of them are to old. Sam Cassel is 37 and Latrell Sprewell is 34. That only leavs them with Garnett and Wally.

What's your point? A lot of the old players are the best in the leauge, Shaq is getting old, Reggie Miller is old, and Malone is very old but they are still some of the best in the leauge.

yes, sprewell is getting old, same with me and u. It doesn't matter though, cuz he still can rip it up, and Sam Cassell is playing his best bball rite now. And minnesota has a good chance to win the west this year. THey are right there with houston, and the spurs.

Old? Or really really really experienced [IMG] ? Anyways I think there will be other cassells and spreewells but Garnett, your Franchise player, is one of a kind and he's still got plenty of good years in him.

Wolves will have a great year this season.

Age is definitely a factor, though, for this team. You forgot to mention Ervin Johnson to our list of old players on the team. Not just age, but health is another factor. If those two concerns don't affect us that much this season, we should be alright. But I agree, age is something to look at. It's a good thing we have a deep team. Backups will be needed because of the fact that health and age is a concern.

Cassell and Spree can both still flat out play, as evidence by SamIAm's 1st all star appearence. My two concerns with this team regarding their age is:

1 - injuries. I hate to think what could have been if Sam was healthy during the playoffs. The Wolves are a deep team, but an injury to one of the big three would really hurt and could affect chemistry issues when they return. Look at Kings when Webber returned, or even when Wally returend to the Wolves.

2 - They will have a great year this season, but because of their age, your window for a championship with this team is starting to close, as opposed to a young team. KG still has plenty left, but in a couple years, Sam and Spree won't be able to lead a team to the promised land.

Sammy's only 35, by the way. They got Troy Hudson and Wally to replace those two, but they won't need to be replaced for at least two or three years. Cassell's like John Stockton in that he saavy and for the most part will stay healthy. I know that he got that injury, but that was more of an aberration than a sign of things to come. Cassell takes good care of his body and will be around for a few more years at least.
