I heard some ridiculous trade rumors on the radio today by some local viking fans on a local radio show. They seem to think Moss has way more value then anyone in the NFL. Here were some of thier proposals

    MN - BAL
    BAL gets Moss
MN gets Ed Reed, and Baltimores 1st rd pick. The Commentator then had the audacity to say Ed Reed was not an impact player.

    MN - NYJ
    NYJ get Moss
MN gets Santana Moss, Johnathan Vilma, and NYJ 1st rd pick. The commentator said Santana and Vilma were not impact players and that those 1st rd picks could not turn into impact players either. He seemed to think short of NE trading entire team, front office, and coaching staff there is no fair trade for Moss. I still havent confirmed, but i suspect he is related to Moss.

Moss's true value - 1 1st rd pick, one 3rd rd pick. No pick in 1st rd higher than 5

Moss for Ed Reed and a #1 pick? thats nuts....I might do it if the Vikings throw in Culpepper and all their drat picks this year....Ed Reed is a top 5 defensive player, the kind of defender you build titles around, Moss is a joke, all the talent in the world, and all the baggage too....I have a very simple way I now judge personel moves on, it seems to work for me too, I ask myself one simple questions, "Would the Patriots do it?" if the answer is no, I think its a bad idea....so would the Patriots trade their best safety(Rodney Harrison) and a #1 for Moss? No....would they take Moss under any circumstances? I doubt it....

I can tell you that this is what the Vikings are probably looking for. They want an impact defensive player and a high draft pick for Moss.

Regardless of what you think about Moss, no one impacts an opponents game plan like he does. He can single-handedly turn around an offense.

Do I think we'll get an Ed Reed for Moss? No. I don't think any team will be willing to participate in such a high level trade that has so much risk. My prediction: Moss is a Viking next year.

if the Jets even think about doing that trade i would go nuts that is the worst trade for them. they can not get rid of Vilma i will kill myself if they do that i will shun them. plus they give up moss and another 1st rounder. horrible trade for the jets. Vilma is a stud MLB for the next 10 years moss and a good wr and the first rounder could be good for them. i cant see them doing that trade.

For the first time ever, I agree with BearsFan1. I think Moss is worth a first and a third, or maybe a first and a second if the picks are low in the first round and high in the second round.

I also agree with Vikingfan...Moss will be a Viking next year.

These arent NFL teams that are talking about this kind of deal, its just fans....I think Baltimore might step up and offer someone and a 1st but its too much....the team that should step up is the Eagles, trade a 1st and Corey Simon for Moss and team him with Owens....it would be hard for McNabb to choke with those weapons around him....

Small problem, if he had bad game who would get to pump him up while calming him down on the sidelines 1st(chew him out to non-eagles fans)?

they could tag team him....the great thing about those guys is that you no longer have to intend passes for anyone, you just have them both go deep and throw it up and let them fight each other for it....

It would be pretty cool to watch both those players on the same team, and they actually would work well together in their different roles. Moss as the long threat and Owens as the guy who can make the plays after the catch.

Moss and Owens together, wow that really would be something to watch. Not on the Eagles though, some other team. Falcons perhaps! [IMG]

Oh yeah, I would love to see Moss in a Falcons jersey next year. Arrogant or not we need WRs and he is one of the best.

Vick wouldnt get him the ball anyway. He has a primetime reciever already who as soon as he leaves will return to form

If I was the Vikings GM, I would offer Moss to them for Price(who the Falcons fans think sucks) + Hall and then try to get whatever pick you can....if they make that deal, its a straight out raping....

Indeed, you send moss to a place he cant hurt you. You get a great reciever who can stretch the field, and a defensive upgrade plus a pick you can use to upgrade your D.

Falcons fans think Price sucks because of his lack of effort, he doesnt get open, doesnt run the routes properly, and he wont come back to the ball for the life of him. I think with some WRs who can do all those things WRs are supposed to do and some O-line improvements you will see a whole other side of Vick that I know he has, and then you will finally see he can throw the ball.

I keep hearing how the team isnt all about Mike Vick, and thats true it isnt. Therefore as the team improves in all aspects, as will Mike Vick.

You do understand that there is a large portion of educated fans that firmly believe that Peerless Price's biggest problem is Mike Vick, not the other way around....I would be included in that group....Price was productive before Vick, Im betting hes productive after Vick, but I doubt he will ever be productive with Vick....

Well since you're so educated why dont you tell me from your experience of watching so many Falcons games this year how Vick is Price's problem?

Thats easy....Vick can't get it to a guy unless he is pretty much wide open...or the size of Alge Crumpler...he doesn't have the ability to anticipate and see the route before it happens. Plus he lacks real accuracy under pressure.
