According to an NBA source, the Cavaliers are attempting to sign Scott Williams and Lucious Harris. Williams, who is in Cleveland today undegoing a physical, would add depth and experience to the Cavs' front court. If he passes the physical, he's expected to sign a 1 year contract with the Cavs, likely for the veteran's minimum of $1.1 million. Harris, who was waived by the New Jersey Nets this month, is believed to want a longer pact than the one year contract the Cavs are offering him, but is reportedly close to closing the deal.

I think Lucious will be a great addition for the Cavs. He will be an offensive spark plug. I guess the Cavs could use some veterans, but that is the only reason why I see them signing Williams. Williams hasn't really made a major impact on a team in a few years.

Scott Williams? [IMG] We're talking about the Scott Williams who used to play with the Bulls? [IMG]

I can understand Harris, he makes some sense to me. But Williams hasn't done anything of substance in years. If they want a big guy(PF), they should look to sign Fizer. I don't see Williams helping on the court at all, only in the lockerroom.

Williams is a great guy to have in the locker room, leadership be a mentor to the young guys, he did a good job with Amare in his rookie year.

No doubt that Scott Williams is a good lockerroom guy, but I just don't see the sense in spending the vet's minimum on a guy who likely won't be able to give you anything on the court.

I just think the Cavs would be better off signing someone who can fill roles both on and off the court, that's all.

Great additions, less PT for D-Wag. I would've taken Clark over Scott Williams tho..

Williams & Diop will split time.. and plus Diop is awful, they are looking to move him anyways.

Cavs are going to be very good this year! what they were missing was a 2nd unit to give the starters a break. The 1st unit had to come in to fast in every game, with no rest which destroy the playoff run last year
