    wow.

I cant believe you put Tyronne Lue and Charlie Wards name in the "depth" column.

Ours aint bad neither with Josh Howard, Jerry Stackhouse, DJ, Devin Harris.

I actually would put Dallas' bench a little above ours, which is really not saying much at all. Our bench sucks (besides Mutombo I suppose), Lue sucks.. he can only guard other small players (AI, Boykins, etc), Ward is decent, and Nachbar we'll have to wait and see how he pans out.

Speaking of our bench, a lot of people are missing the fact that Mo Taylor will come off the bench. He was arguably our best pure scorer last season and will probably contribute 11ppg again off the bench. His offense is a key part of our bench.

Our bench has Mutombo, possibly the best defensive player of all time. Taylor, who was a legitimate contender for 6th man last year who is a good post scorer. Lue started last year. Ward is a solid defender who doesn't make many mistakes. Nachbar has shown glimpes of becoming a good player.

And again, you're still ignoring the fact that Dallas doens't play defense, and none of their players play the role they are supposed to play. Without defense, you can't win.

That is a huge understatement. This is the most traditional team the Mavericks have had in a long time.

And how do you know they still don't play defense? They have been stressing defense this entire summer. I say, let the chips fall where they may. I'm not going to say anything about their defense until I have witnessed it myself. You are looking at the Mavs of last year, where have you been?

Btw... they won 52 games last year without any significant defense whatsoever. And this year's team is built to last longer in the playoffs.

They no longer have Nick Van Exel who carried them two seasons ago, and no longer do they have Antwan Jamison who was so effective off the bench last season. While Jerry Stackhouse could do something, he only played 19 games last season. For one, the Mavericks can win 65 games next season and not even get out of the first round of the playoffs.

To be honest, not that I have anything against the Mavs or anything, I really think you guys are worse off this year than last year and also the year before that. You lost your floor general in Steve Nash and a very valuable Antawn Jamison. Instead, now you have Stackhouse (very injury-prone and imo will never be as good as he was before), a shoot first PG in Jason Terry (he might actually work out with Dallas' shoot-em-up style), and an out-of-place Dampier. I still think you guys will make it to the playoffs but as of now, I don't see the Mavs advancing further than 1st round.

Ok You are basing all of those players on their performances with LOSING TEAMS. You can't say they won't have a rekindled spirit about winning as they did back when they were in their college years. I think they will want to win more than ever and now that they are on a playoff team they will make it their goal to have the best chemistry and play the best they have ever played in their entire career with the exception of maby stack because he has had good sides to his career. They are with winners now and they will play like winners. In my opinion all they needed was to get out of that craphole they were in before they can prove themselves as winners.

The past few seasons, the MAVS success depended on Steve Nash. Nash ran the team and held it together, without him, the Mavs cannot be as good. Nowitski got so many free points and looks from the plays of nash. Nash could penetrate at will and create plays.

I honestly don't see the Mavs being as good of a team without steve nash.
