Maybe this is Celtic bias talking, but I'm at a loss for why Rip Hamilton and Vince Carter are ranked above Pierce. However, when you see enough of these type of rankings nothing surprises you.

I guess thier using Rip's Championship and playoff performance as a reason, but I don't think that makes up for everything else.

VC? Come on. When Vince starts playing both ends of the court, then I might consider placing his phenonmenal talent ahead of Pierce, but until then, I simply can't stomach him being ranked ahead of P-Squared. Particularly given his heavily spotted injury history.

I also would contend that Peja doesn't belong that high either, but given the fact that he largely carried the Kings while Webber was injured last season, I can accept it, despite the fact that I believe him to be a lesser dimensional player than Pierce.

Vince Carter O.K.

Baron Davis maybe your pushing it a little bit.

But F--- NO, when you put Peja in front of Iverson, Dirk, Pierce, Ming, Ray and Brand. Richard Hamilton aint better that Pierce, and neither is Vince. I agree with you on this gump (edited) list.

.......8. Paul Pierce, 9. Dirk Nowitzki, 10. Allen Iverson, 11. Ray Allen, 12. Yao Ming, 13. Elton Brand, 14. Peja Stojakovic 15. Vince Carter......20. Richard Hamilton

Yeah I saw this on the Laker forum, and as I said there Paul Pierce at #13 is almost as rediculous as Hamilton is being ranked ahead of him. I also would rank Pierce above Paja and Carter. Pierce should be #9, behind Dirk and Iverson. Paja shouldn't even be on the top 10.

Shaq and Jermaine.

Shaq was robbed. Check this out.
(Kobe didn't make top 50 FG% I had to add him in there)

I know this is for their overall performance but cmon...the guy is unstoppable from the field!!!

KG TD and Kobe all more attempts than Shaq but Shaq still had a better FG% that allowed him to keep up to their PPG. If Shaq would've had all of KGs touches he would've won the scoring title and probably an MVP.

Shaq is gonna suprise a lot of ppl this year because with that kinda FG% Miami is gonna feed him the ball on almost every play.

This is bull, Peja, VC, and Rip ahead of Paulie? No way, it goes Pierce, VC, Peja, Rip. And Rip Hamilton gets way too much love just for being a key factor in the playoffs, he didnt really do squat in the regular season

Paul Pierce was awesome. He's like the 1 man gang that is playing 1vs5 all the time. He should be ahead of iverson imo

Altohugh I'm not the biggest Paul Pierce fan, he is the truth and he did get robbed. Peja Stojackovic's overall game is nowhere near Paul Pierce's.

I definately agree ^^....This list is seriously stupid because Allen Iverson and Paul Pierce are easily in my top 5 players list. Peja is like in my top 50 lol.

It's not Celtic bias, because I hate the Celtics and I agree with you. PP should be higher.

Technically, if they were going to rate players based on playoff/finals performances Billups should have been much higher than he was. Proof that this list is whack, even based on their own criteria.

^^^^ a lot of those ppl you listed also jack up a lot of shots to reach those high PPG.

KG is #1 (1,611) in FG attempts, T-Mac #2 (1,566), Pierce #3(1,497), Lebron James #4 (1,492), Vince Carter #6 (1,457), Dirk Nowitzki #15 (1,310), Duncan #23 (1,181), Bryant #24 (1,178), Iverson #32 (1,125), .

Shaq (948) didn't even make the Top 50 FGAs.

Did you really put Vince Carter ahead of Jermain O'neal? really? I would take Kirilenko, Artest, Big Ben, maybe even Peja over Vince. I love watching the guy but he really is over-rated, IMO.

In basketball, the player that has the better chance to score should make more attempts than everyone. But with the Lakers, Kobe(43%-FG%) was the primary option and Shaq(58%-FG%) was the secondary. They were losing out on a lot of points because of this.

In 1992-1993, Will Perdue posted a .557 FG%.

Horace Grant posted a .506 FG%.

Michael Jordan posted a .495 FG%.

Points per game? Perdue at 5.8 PPG, Grant at 13.2 PPG, and Jordan at...32.6 PPG.

Bulls won the championship. Jordan won the MVP. Bulls go down as three-peats and are called a dynasty. Field Goal percentage means little when it comes to who gets the ball. Oh, Perdue and Grant were both centers, shooting about 1-5 feet away from the hoop, by the way.
