I caught this on ESPN last night and I feel like Kobe crossed the line and I believe a lot of people would agree with me on this. He's lost a lot of respect among his peers because everyone knows that he violated . He's also lost a lot of respect in the NBA because teammates have a code of silence that they respect each other and don't go around babbling what anyone does on their own time (although Shaq said they never hung around). And besides that practically the entire NBA respects Shaq and recognize his status as one of the greatest so you know they're gonna take it out on Kobe on the court. Kobe dun messed up :shakehead I say (B)Shaq is gonna block Kobe but he won't knock him down because he respects the fans and city of L.A. and doesn't wanna make himself look bad...plus Kobe has the rest of the NBA to knock him down.

First, remember that this comment was made way before Shaq even made his trade demand (or at least made it public). Second, this comment was made to the police during his interrogation as he was being arrested and charged with rape. I don't think that dissing Shaq was foremost on Kobe's mind, he was facing the prospect of losing his wife, his kid, and his career and spending years in prison. Also, Kobe's lawyers busted ass to keep these files from the public. If Kobe made those comments to dis Shaq, why would he say it in private to the police, then try to hide it from the public? I think it just slipped out as he was nervous and trying to talk himself out of a bad situation. That said, I agree with everyone that Kobe dun F'ed up and he should have never said what he said, especially after doing what he did. He was digging himself further into a hole. And I would also be PISSED if either Kobe or Shaq miss the christmas game. I'm looking forward to seeing option B - Shaq knocking kobe to the ground.
