Werent there talks of Avery being looked at by the mavericks, as a coach? I dont think he can still cut it as a player but I do think that he would make a good coach. Avery isnt as good as he used to be like most veterans and at 39, I do think its smart getting a veteran old enough to successfully mentor Devin Harris and make him a great NBA standard pointgaurd.
