Fox, beset by injuries last season, was traded by the Lakers to the Celtics on Aug. 6. It had been expected he would retire rather than report to Boston's training camp beginning Monday. The Celtics, who were aware of Fox's injuries when they made the trade, waived him on Thursday to facilitate his retirement.</div>Full Article: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-f...ov=ap&type=lgns
No surprise here. I never really cared much for Fox, but hey...he was a Laker. I guess he would've retired anyways, being with the Celts or staying a Laker. Good luck Rick
The league is a better place now, I'll miss seeing his wife on TV, but I sure won't miss those annoying Ford commercials.
Looks like the injuries finally caught up to him. Even thought he was a Laker, I still wish him the best of luck with everything in his life. He was a decent player, and everyone should appreciate his contributions to the game of basketball. (He still can't fight.. ) <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The league is a better place now, I'll miss seeing his wife on TV, but I sure won't miss those annoying Ford commercials.</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">The league is a better place now, I'll miss seeing his wife on TV, but I sure won't miss those annoying Ford commercials.</div> Isn't that the truth, though? Well, haha...after that comment, I don't even know what else to say.
Never been a Fox fan,but i hope he has a good post-NBA life.right now he is going through some changes in his personal life with the divorce of his wife Vanessa Willams, and this.so now he is dealing with a lot on his plate, but i wish him all the best.
i really liked Rick Fox when he was a laker. he used to give intensity on defense before his injuries. he will be missed.
He was a good role player. Laker fans should never forget his defense...particularly how he completely took Peja out of his game in the 2001 playoffs.
