<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Bulls have reached an agreement with free agent power forward Gary Trent. The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Trent, who spent the past three seasons with the Timberwolves, is expected to sign a non-guaranteed deal and join Chicago for a physical exam on Friday.

Last year Trent averaged 5.6 points and 3.2 rebounds for the T'Wolves as a backup to Kevin Garnett. Minnesota had expressed interested in re-signing him, but Miller said Trent viewed Chicago as a better career opportunity.</div>

I think it would be better if Trent signed somewhere else. He didn't do as much last season and it adds more money to maybe pick up someone else.

I agree I dont think this was a major loss for the Wolves, Gray Trent didnt play smart at all last season alot of dumb turnovers & foolish fouls etc, that probably the main reason he fell out of graces with Flip. When you are playing championship level basketball, you want players on the court with a high sense of basketball IQ, it just wasnt on display by Trent last year. The only reason the wolves might have even considered the notion of re-signing is because its late in the offseason & they lack bigbodies. But in the long run they are better just letting Trent go. I think Trent can be useful in a less competive envoriment.

He contributed some, but he's replaceable.
