i was thinking about this... well... i said id give him nother chance so i will, but alot of people wouldnt
He knows right now that it is highly unlikely that he'll get traded. He want's to play ball and that's what matters. He wants to win, and hopefully he has enough faith in his teammates to make them a winning team.

Will its not like he has another option,he is just going to suck it up because he is realizing that a trade will not happen. I am sure all the Raptors will be glad to see him back but I wonder what will happen by the time he plays out his contract,if the Raps are having sucess he may re sign with them. But if they dont improve I can see him signing with a different team when he is a free agent.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">vince hasn't been associated with winning since north carolina and he can thank mr. jamison for that.</div> If winning medals, trophies, fans, and almost going to the conference finals isn't winning, then what is? Wow, what a great decision by Vince. After all, there's no trade that can benefit us, and the trades that can won't happen. The 2005 season will be most likely be Vince's career season. Watch him prove all the doubters that he will be a top 5 player next season. However, I believe next season is do or die. IF he ever does bad next season, I believe he will most likely get dealt this time through the GM's decision, not Vince's.

I heard that Isiah Thomas wouldnt even trade Tim Thomas for him although I find that highly unlikely. Vince Carter isnt worth a key piece in anybody's team which is why he hasnt been dealt. The Raptors management demanded too much for Carter.
if bringing a new franchise into playoff contention the first two years of his career then bringing them into the 2nd round and tasting playoff success that the raptors had never tasted before isn't success then what is? i agree he hasn't gotten much success past 3 seasons, but still hwo can u say vince hasn't succeded in the nba?
vince has been a success in the nba. he certainly hasnt been winning much. 2 decent seasons. thats pretty much it have to say though...im glad vince is staying with the raptors. he's obvioulsy just changed his position to save face. he knows that nobody really wants him, so he's just going to do what i said he should do...hes gonna play hard, play well, THEN someone will want him. but it'll be too late...raptors will be winning
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dj_premium_plus:</div><div class="quote_post"> but it'll be too late...raptors will be winning </div> yeah and sam mitchell will be coach of the year, babcock will be executive of the year, and toronto will forget about hockey.
"vince hasn't been associated with winning since north carolina and he can thank mr. jamison for that." That's the dumbest argument. Good luck on defending that....

Hey deception, how come everytime someone is having a discussion about Vince Carter you're there to bash him. I mean if you don't like the guy just don't post about him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">yeah and sam mitchell will be coach of the year, babcock will be executive of the year, and toronto will forget about hockey.</div> i didnt say the raps are going to win the nba championship, i said they are going to be a winning team. ie: over .500 i think thats a realistic goal. either way, i put a smiley on my post, indicating that it was more of a tongue and cheek post. im hoping for the day you have something positive to say about the raps. why do you even post here? you dont even seem like a fan
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">most raptors fans have overrated vince's value </div> and you underrate him, so whats the difference?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dj_premium_plus:</div><div class="quote_post">vince has been a success in the nba. he certainly hasnt been winning much. 2 decent seasons. thats pretty much it </div> Decent seasons? Those 2 season were much more than that. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">when did being eliminated in an inferior eastern conference (by virtue of depth) in the second round become associated with success? yeah he did win an olympic gold medal just barely by the smallest of margins, the ROY he thoroughly deserved and vince has polarizing effect when it comes to fans. plus, when did likeability or lack there of become associated with winning? fans liked george murhesan and despised bill russel (watched the nba special on him last night) but who's the bigger winner? winning is measured in consistency; game to game and season to season</div> So I'm guessing the only way you can become a winner is if you win an NBA Championship right? Weird how things work these days.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Banks:</div><div class="quote_post">Decent seasons? Those 2 season were much more than that. </div> well they werent great seasons. They made the playoffs. first round and 2nd round. neither time did they have homecourt advantage. id say thats decent. jesus what a lame thing to dispute. an adjective used to describe a season is subjective. i thought it was decent, you thought it was good. someone else thought it was well done...who cares what word is used to describe how the season went. great debate
