<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday their broadcast schedule for the 2004-05 NBA season with all 82 regular-season contests being televised for a third consecutive season. For the first time in team history, all games will be available nationwide with 52 games on national broadcast outlets (TSN, The Score and Rogers Sportsnet), 20 more on Raptors NBA TV and another 10 on Rogers Sportsnet?s digital package. ?Our broadcast schedule for the upcoming season reflects our commitment to making the Raptors ?Canada?s Team?,? said Tom Anselmi, Raptors executive vice-president and chief operating officer. ?To create a television package that not only takes every Raptors game nationwide, but also adds a great balance of NBA games from the U.S. is a testament to the increased interest in basketball throughout the country. TSN will televise a minimum of 20 Raptors contests across Canada in the 2004-05 season. Veteran sports broadcaster Rod Black will serve as the studio host for Raptors telecasts on TSN alongside studio analyst Brian Heaney. TSN?s broadcast package is highlighted by two games against the defending NBA Champion Detroit Pistons (November 5 and April 3), a visit to Toronto from Shaquille O?Neal and the Miami Heat on December 12, a matchup against Toronto native and NBA All-Star Jamaal Magloire and his New Orleans Hornets on January 16, and a January 17 contest against defending league MVP Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Score will air 20 Raptors games this season to a national Canadian audience. They will feature the first and final meetings of the regular season between the Raptors and O?Neal?s Heat (November 30 and March 29), both matchups from Cleveland with LeBron James and the Cavaliers (December 4 and February 8), the only Air Canada Centre appearance of the season from Garnett and the Timberwolves (December 15), and the Raptors? lone visit to the Los Angeles Lakers (December 28) Rogers Sportsnet will carry 52 non-Raptors NBA games and select playoff action during the 2004-05 season and is the exclusive Canadian broadcast outlet of the 2005 NBA All-Star Game on February 20 from Pepsi Center in Denver. </div> Full Story Im dissapointed that I won't get to see as many games as Rogers Sportsnet this year because I really enjoy Chuck Swirskys play calling, and I don't have Raptors TV to hear his game calling there. Rod Black and whoever does the play calling for The Score, are probably Multi-Sport broadcasting guys (Rod Black is).
TSN probably wanted the majority of Raptors broadcasts, with the NHL lockout making their peak program hours without hockey. I expect Sportsnet to take this chance and become the number one sports station in Canada.
hmm, so there aren't any games that r exclusively for raptors tv right? bc two seasons ago 4 or some games weren't televised bc it was exclusively for the raptors tv
Hey Banks..Chuck will broadcast all of the raps games regardless of channel. Rod Black and such will only do in-studio stuff like during commercials and halftime. Only Chuck, leo and Jack will broadcast, or so I believe. Either way, chuck will do the play by play for every raps game. It was part of his contract with the raptors
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting spawn:</div><div class="quote_post">So how many Raptors games is RSN doing?</div> That's what I wanna know <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Hey Banks..Chuck will broadcast all of the raps games regardless of channel. I dont like the fact that TSN is using RSN Found talent for some reason. Somewhat off topic, but we recently loss Hazel Mae to NESN of Boston, and we previously lost John Saunders to ESPN/ABC. Maybe Chuck is our sports person to lose?
chuck does everygame ....but for raps tv not tsn i think....tsn is always leo rautins and rod black or some other dude....
^ ya, i think thats right. chuck and leo rautins broadcasts for RSN and the score and rod black and leo rautins or someone else does it for TSN. that was pretty much like last year.
