    its not that similar and there are a ton of wildcat teams

    Yes, the concept it similar.

    Plus how can you say that how many teams have <font color="Navy">blue</font> and <font color="DarkOrange">orange</font> colors with the cat mascot being <font color="DarkOrange">orange</font>?

    Yeah, you hardly ever find any original names any more. The ABA had the best names.

    Virginia Squires
    Minnesota Pipers
    Dallas Chapparals
    Carolina Cougars
    Anaheim Amigos
    Memphis Sounds
    Spirits of St. Louis

    They do look similar. But in the world of sports, it's not uncommon to see this.
