Great move by the Kings here.

Anderson's a decent player, and he is a great addition to the Bench here in Sacramento.i think he can make a difference here.

I dont get this one... why sign a year contract with a guard when you already have five of them under contract through this upcoming season? He is a good gaurd, but he is also coming off an achilies tendon injury whiched forced him to miss the entire season. He does shoot 80%+ from the line, 42% from the field and 34% from 3pt range. he can score easily, but is not a great defender (like anyone on the Kings besides Christie is known for defense)
I can only think that Petrie is concerned about the 2 spot with Christie's foot and Martin being a rookie.
It would make much more sense to me if they would get deeper at the 3 & 4 spots.

On the other hand, it's Petrie, so who knows....LOL

Petrie i think likes having additional guard's on hand i guess.LOL

With our bench being improved over the off season, the question is will all these guys get decent playing time??

not a lot.. christie delt with the same exact injury for a lot of the season last year & he still started all 82 games and avaraged 34 minutes for the season. Thats pretty durable in my book.
Bibby also started all 82 games and avaraged 36 minutes.
In the 50 games that Jackson played in last year, he avaraged 23 minutes.
Peeler was in 70 games last year, but even with Jackson missing 32 games, he still only avaraged 18 minutes per game.
And now, they are going to have six gaurds under contract for the season? where are the minutes going to go? Minard is going to see virtually nothing in the way of playing time. Untill this signing, it was thought that Martin would be picking up some good minutes subbing for Christie. Alexander is obviously going to be playing the 2 here in Sac, so that means whatever minutes Christie doesnt play will have to be split between him & Martin, which doesnt take into account those times where they will have Bibby and Jackson on the floor at the same time. I think time at the 1 & 2 spots are going to be few & far between after Bibby, Christie and Jackson. I can already see we are going to have a gaurd getting paid to sit on the bench doing his impersonation of Gerrold Wallace (which means sitting there doing nothing).

but such is the way of things sometimes....[IMG]
