According to a league source, Payton reached his decision after more than a month of painful deliberation following a trade from the Lakers that sent him to the Celtics along with the rights to Rick Fox.</div>Full Article: http://celtics.bostonherald.com/celtics/vi...articleid=47259

It's about time he reported, is he still playing that video game? LOL. I don't know if Payton will play well in Boston, it seems like he doesn't play his best when he has a superstar on his team, and now he has Paul Pierce. I think the glove isn't fitting GP anymore, and he should retire. Because it's only going down hill.

I never really liked Shawn Kemp that's why I didn't consider him a super star. I always thought he was too cocky, and I don't like over cocky players. It was an old thread about why he missed his first flight. It said he was playing the classic NES game I believe it was NES, L.A. vs Boston, and it said he could never win, and he missed his flight playing.

I'm sorry but the Reign Man, in his prime, was a super-star.

Well, with Payton playing after all, the Celtics are the winners. They basically got him and cap relief for Chris Mihm, Chucky Atkins and Jumaine Jones. Getting to save a pick and a young future star was very helpful.

I always thought the Payton-Pierce duo would be pretty ill and I was hoping he'd report to camp...the C's have a nice squad when u include Welsch, LaFrentz, their rookies, etc...they should compete hard for a playoff spot...
