That is just stupid. Those arent opinions, all of those things are wrong because there is fact around them being wrong. I was speaking of actual opinions where there is no actual facts. I expected you to say something along the lines of what you did though, predictable dumb shit.

Well, normally that would upset me. But since that is your opinion, it is not right, per your own words.

And yet another thread goes spiraling down the path of sparring between BearsFan and Falcons and/or Eagles fans.

This is just a thought...but when is everyone going to realize that BF1 is...well...how should I put this delicately....

    A BEARS FAN!!!

I'm just joking around BF1, you know you're good with me...I just have to sit and marvel at how well you are able to constantly get under other people's skin.

Not right in your opinion, in mine 100% accurate.

End of discussion now. I'm done.

Hey Beef...thanks for clearing up my comments. I figured I was stabbing in the dark. Here are some more "facts" about Vinnie...

    - 2 Pro Bowls in 18 Years
    - As many or more interceptions as TDs in 10 of 18 seasons
    - Injuries shortened his season 12 of 18 seasons

Anyone know what his career win/loss percentage is or his playoff record?

2 ties, that could be the most ever by a QB in the last 20 years, maybe thats why BF1 thinks he belongs in the HOF

It's about Vinny, BF1 made a claim that he belongs in the HOF, and based on the last few comments we can see that he's wrong.

I stand by it. Vinny you are going based on record. When Vinny was on good teams(not often) they played well. Unfortunately for him, early in his career he was on a tampa team that god could not have QBed to the playoffs. E4L, do you have John Kerry on speed dial? I am 100% sure we had a discussion comparing manning to Mcnabb in which you said the single reason Mcnabb had produced less his entire career was the O-Talent around him? How come when we look a vinny's accomplishments we dont look at the talent around him?

Tampa - His first 6 years in Tampa were a huge struggle. Never had the slightest rushing attacl. Just one back over 1000 yards in a season. Had one talented reciever Mark Carrier(look him up i know you have never heard of him). Who himself had only one good season.

Cleveland/Baltimore - Had decent years for this franchise, especially in 96, when he had 2 quality recieving threats for the first time(not that great, Michael Jackson, Derrick Alexander) he threw 33 TDs. He never had a 1000 yard rusher in any year at this franchise.

NY Jets - First Year at this stop he had a good coach. good recievers and good running attack. The result was his best season ever. After Keyshawn left, he had no real threat left at reciever in NY and his numbers took a step back. His physical skills at this point in his career had faded some also. However, he was still good enough to lead them to the playoffs one more time.

Dallas - Stuck into a situation that was basically hopeless in beginning of season. He had no hope of leading a team that was giving up points like this team was to the playoffs. He did make a lot of mistakes last year, but early on had no running game to speak of.

Despite the fact has never had great recievers to throw to, a good back running the ball behind him except for 4 years with the jets, he managed to pass his way to 6th all time on the NFL yardage chart. He did all this with high expectations and the label as a bust, being the number 1 pick in the draft. If that is not overcoming adversity I do not know what is.

Someone said it earlier in this thread, and I'll say it again... Vinnie's numbers are a product of him being in the league for 18 years! And the fact that he's never had a 1000 yard rusher is probably the ONLY reason his attempts, etc. are as high as they are. If you look at the all time passers list, Vinnie's all over it:
    http://www.profootballhof.com/history/stat...p20/passing.jsp

BUT...when you average out his career over 18 years, it comes out to be about 2200 yards per year, 14 TDs and 14 INTs. Hardly hall of fame numbers...

Heck, Vinnie WILL probably get into the Hall of Fame eventually. I just don't think it will be in the next 20 years...

Those are the averages if you count the year he played 4 years he only played a total of 16 games as 4 years.

If you take his averages over 16 game season It is 3488 yards per season. and 21 Tds. You can try and skew the stats all you want. The bottom line is there have only been 10 or 11 modern era QBs who have been good enough to start that ling in thier careers. He outpassed all of tehm except for surefire HOFers Elway, Marino. etc
