<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rasheed Wallace will wear No. 36 this season. ?It?s for sentimental reasons,? he said. ?I don?t want to put it out there as to why. It?s just something that?s close to my family. Wallace wore the number in his one game with the Atlanta Hawks last season, and he wanted to wear it when he was traded to Detroit. The Pistons couldn?t get a No. 36 jersey prepared in time, so he was forced to finish the season with No. 30. </div> from Pistons media central page, I believe Sheed wanted to wear the number for his grandfather.
If you can find more, be my guest. The ones on the Pistons media central front page can't be copied and pasted due to them being set up by flash. Here is one extra one
They're looking might fine this year(in a talent way. not the other way), I expect them to make another run at the championship. I think Wallace's afro just look akward now, he like did something to it.
Yeah, Ben's fro looks like it's just been washed without using conditioner, it's too fluffy. How come the Pistons didn't get Rasheed's jersey prepared in time? I thought that in the NBA a jersey could be made in a click. Also, couldn't he have worn #36 after wearing #30 for a few games? Is there a rule like you can't change numbers during the season? One more thing, how come both Wallaces don't have the first letter of their first name on the back of their jersey? I remember when players on the same team had the same last name they'd always do that. I'll always wonder what they do in case Jason Williams and Jay Williams ever play on the same team.
