I have no idea why rasheed changed numbers...he did wear 36 in his brief BRIEF stint with atlanta last season tho...

He wanted to wear 36 last year but the Pistons didn't get the jersey in time, so he wore 30 fro the rest of the year last year. You can read all about this in the Pistons forum. And I have no clue why Artest changed his. 91 seem a little too hig of a number. MAybe hes just saying he's the best defender by using Dennis's number.
I think 'Sheed's wearing 36 for sentimental reasons. Edit: Ahh, KB8 beat me. Well I know for sure that Artest is wearing 91 cause of Rodman, he loved the Bulls, he was apparently furious when he was traded to the Pacers, but I guess all that winning may have changed his mind.

Why would you want to emulate Dennis Rodman? Any man who wears a wedding dress, you should not look up to. But I do like the number 91, so I like that he's wearing it.
Ron is wearing number 91 as a tribute to Dennis Rodman,he wil probably change his number from 91 also cause he wants to have a collection of jersies when he retires.

His personal life should not be conflicted with his life on the court. I think it's cool that Artest wants to emmulate Rodman, finally someone is showing respect to the Worm. Also Kobe's number has always been 8...KB8 anybody...and yeah now i saw a thread with that same pic in the lakers thread and he just wore that for the picture...but when i saw it i was like woah...
Spawn's right. Dennis Rodman is arguably one of the best rebounders to ever play the game - he had some crazy rebounding numbers. He was also a great defensive player and was very energetic. He was wild off the court, but the guy could play.

He didn't really pay attention to other aspects of his game when he was with the Bulls cause he didnt need to, Pippen and Jordan had that on lock. So he specialized and further improved his anticipation and skills in just one thing the Bulls needed and that was rebounding. He controlled rebounding. And by controlled, I'm talking dominated We're talking about a guy who averaged 18 rebounds a game at one point. I'd love to have a guy like him on my team and it's a shame that people judge players absed on thier off court antics rather then thier on court achievements.
hey were doing a headshot for a promo and just needed him in a purple jersey. He grabbed the nearest one and there it is. Rasheed is wearing 36 because it's the age that his brother died at. Sucks a lot. Prayers for the Sheed family.
