Bryant puts in extra work as Lakers open camp Bryant was in a good mood, but seemed to tense up for a moment after being asked if he missed seeing Shaquille O'Neal running up and down the court. ``No, I mean, I'm sure you'll get the same answer if you ask Devean George,'' he said. ``We just moved on. We have a new ballclub.'' http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-l...ov=ap&type=lgns Its great seeing the way this team is coming together and how Kobe has tooken the steps to lead them going to be a very exciting season i cant wait.
I don't know if the whole team feels the same way about Shaq leaving. Obviously, Kobe doesn't miss him too much. I'd wager that Rudy T would have loved for Shaq to still be in LA.

At first, Kobe was the outcast of the team. In 1996, hardly anyone liked him because he was the team's "showboat" (according to Shaq...which was a quote back then). Even from the words of Derek Fisher and Cedric Ceballos, Shaq didn't like him, and neither did anyone else. However, everything changed from the third championship up until today. Shaq's attitude about not winning surprised alot of players and the organization, and slacking off was not going to be tolerated any longer, even if Kobe wasn't a free agent. The team grew with Kobe, while Shaq's diesel fuel was on low, and therefore, he was shipped to Miami. Ask Devean George who he prefers, the guy who would run up to him and bump chests, or the one who hardly talked to him? Ask Malone, who for some reason, didn't run off to Miami and has stated that he will still be a Laker (or retire as one). Ask Tex Winter, Derek Fisher, Nick Van Exel, Eddie Jones (before Shaq went to the Heat), or just about anyone who's worn a Laker jersey...and they'll all say that Shaq's attitude towards winning, being in good health, and towards Kobe, is what sent him packing.

I wish someone can tell me between the beginning of last season and now, when did Shaq become the best player in the league again? Last year I was hearing Garnett or Duncan. I will not dispute either. But after the worse season of Shaq's career, he is the best again? I don't get it.
i love how Shaq keeps talking and KB not responding. I think KB knows that what gets Shaq ticked-off is when no one responds to what he has to say.
