<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With playing time scarce in his first two seasons and the addition of All-Star forward Kenyon Martin to the roster, Denver forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili knows that his role as a Nugget is limited. To improve as a player Tskitishvili says he needs to play, which is why he revealed on Wednesday night that he has requested to his agent, Steven Heumann, to talk to Denver GM Kiki Vandeweghe about moving him onto a team which could use his services. "I told my agent I really want to get traded," Tskitishvili said. "He said, 'Don't worry about it. I'm coming in Tuesday and I'm going to talk to Kiki.' " </div> Full Story
-Career FG% .301 -Career 3-Point% .245 I don't think anyone can really blame the guy for wanting to play somewhere else. He isn't going to be alot of plaing time in Denver this year. He is in the last year of his contract which sees him make around 3 million. There is NO WAY Denver is going to pick him up next year at 3.6 million, so he wants to go somewhere where he can play and show people something. Welcome to pro sports.
Totally selfish if they keep him. Cut the kid loose, let him go to an ordinary side where he will get some court time.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jerry West:</div><div class="quote_post">Totally selfish if they keep him. Cut the kid loose, let him go to an ordinary side where he will get some court time.</div> How in the hell are they being selfish? They've been trying to trade him for a while now.
Can you blame him though? I just don't think Denver's gotten a good enough offer, he might have not produced, but Skeeta has some talent, and in the right situation, he can't put up some good numbers. If their's a team with a young SG who hasn't "broken out" yet and needs a PF/SF that they can develop, then that would be the trade to do, but I don't know of one.
I would like to see him end up on the Bobcats. He would be a perfect starting Power Fowards there (with Emeka in the middle). His post defence is not great, but Emeka would make up for that. He is also a good spot up shooter (dont let his 3pt% fool you), and with time I think he could be a player very much like Dirk Nowtiziki.
i agree with MegaGreg, nikoloz can shoot really well, even better than guys 5 feet shorter than him. he has low 3pt % coz he is just inexperienced, thats all. denver should trade him, coz he has the talent to be a decent player, yet he is wasting his career away on the bench. about the nowitzki comparision, i don't think so, as he needs to be a better rebounder and post player first.
If the Nuggets are to trade Tskitishvili, they should do it now. He still is a project, with potential. If he continues to contribute little, teams will offer less for him. Things aren't working for him in Denver, and I think the Nuggets should trade him for something of value while they still can.
