Here is a recap of the Pistons pre-season games so far (which I will update after each game). Pistons are currently 1-3. Ben Wallace has yet to play a pre-season game while Rasheed Wallace hasn't played since the first pre-season game due to a sore back.

    Smush Parker 14
    Rip Hamilton 12
    Antonio Mcdyess 10
    Elden Campbell 10
    Carlos Delfino 8

    Heat 83 Pistons 74

    Top Scorers

    Smush Parker 11
    Chauncey Billups 10
    Antonio Mcdyess 8 (9 rebounds)

    Pistons 70 Wolves 76

    Top Scorers

    Carlos Delfino 13
    Smush Parker 12
    Chauncey Billups 9

    Pistons 83 Wizards 92

    Top Scorers

    Tayshaun Prince 15
    Carlos Delfino 13
    Smush Parker 13
    Elden Campbell 11

    Pistons 100 Wizards 82

    Top Scorers

    Carlos Delfino 15
    Rip Hamilton 12
    Horace Jenkins 12

    Pistons 82 Jazz 75

    Top Scorers

    Rasheed Wallace 13
    Antonio Mcdyess 13
    Lindsey Hunter 12

Who wins pre-season games aren't important It's how the younger plays perform, gives the coach to sort out rotation and setting up new plays. Carlos Delfino has looked great so far, he could certainly become as good as Manu Ginobili with time, which he has plenty of. Great slasher and finisher. He also has good range. He isn't quite there defensively yet but he will get there. Argentina really know how to find talent.

Antonio Mcdyess has looked in great shape, he is jumping high, rebounding and throwing down alley-oops. He is still a little rusty but he certainly looks like a great signing by Joe Dumars. He needs to stay heathly but If he does, he should give the Pistons instant offense, rebounding and defense off the bench.

Hey Allnet, I've got a question.

I haven't seen any of the Pistons' preseason games, but from the scoring leaders that you posted, Smush Parker seems to be playing really well. What do you think of his play and his role in the regular season?

    Thanks.

He is a natural scorer no doubt about it, he has struggled badly with turnovers and his lack of assists Is not going to help him on a Larry Brown team. Smush has impressed me but the main problem is both guys who havn't really impressed me (Jenkins and Dupree) both have guaranteed contracts.

Jenkins has been worse handling the ball (although not as many turnovers) he just looks shaky out there and doesn't get any assists. The only thing he does better than Smush is average 2 less turnovers a game, Smush is miles ahead of Jenkins in terms of scoring.

Sadly the odds are against Smush getting a contract for the whole season. He may stick around till maybe december but thats about it. So in terms of his role, It's hard to tell since It's not known how long he will be around. If he stays then I would imagine he will be the 3rd point guard behind Billups and Hunter. Basically replace the scoring Mike James brought. He might even play some two guard.

Dumars doesn't make many mistakes but signing Jenkins to a guaranteed contract was not a great move.

Either way though, If Smush doesn't get a contract with the Pistons he at least deserved to get from another team. The guy can certainly score.
