I really feel for Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry. Obviously they haven't taken all their opportunities, but i'm certain both would be superstars if they got out of Chicago. Send Eddy to Memphis to work with Hubie Brown and Jerry West and you'd soon have an all-star, same goes for Chandler if he was in a place like Utah under Jerry Sloan.
I completely agree with you. I was thinking about Eddy Curry going to Memphis. I think that would be the perfect place for him and I also think hed be an instant all-star there. I see more upside in Curry than Chandler but I think Chandler would do much better on another team also.
What's wrong with Curry in Chicago? He's been playing great in preseason, he's shown he's in the best shape of his life and is playing some of the best basketball in his life. Tyson's offense is struggling somewhat, but he's playing very well on the defensive end. Blocking shots, pulling down rebounds, and just his presence alone scares the other team because he can cover alot with his long legs and huge wingspan. Curry and Chandler are a perfect fit here. Just because they struggled in the past does not mean that there's no chance of succeeding in Chicago.
curry is playing well for the bulls chandler like usual is sucking like crap this preseason. no i hate seeing someone do so good somewhere else when the bulls had him at first. brand was great in chicago, and he did well in LA, but he was a player you can build around in chicago. i want them to be here so we have a chance of winning, and they are good players, noone wants to play with the bulls (signing as FA), so you have to work with the good players you currently have, not just give them up. curry is a proven center who can play well, and hinrich with gordon and deng is perfect to build with.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jerry West:</div><div class="quote_post">I really feel for Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry. Over the past couple years they have traded or lost all of their good players, Chandler and Curry own this team. Jalen Rose, Ron Artest, Brad Miller, Jamal Crawford and Scottie Pippen are all gone. Most of those guys have been gone for a while now. To say that these two are not superstars simply because they are playing in Chi-town is just making excuses for them. Eddy Curry openly admitted that in the past he has always gone to training camp out of shape. What kind of work ethic is that? I don't think that being in another city would turn these two into superstars, I think that working harder MIGHT.
Its probally because of the possibilty of an NBA lockout, with all the financial stuff, GM's dont want to sign players to big contract extensions.Thats what I have heard at least.
Tyson never will be a "superstar" however, he will be a good defender and rebounder. He can average 10-15 pts a game just from put-backs, alley-oops, or fast breaks. That's all we need from tyson 10-15pts 10-12 reb 2blocks a game. if tyson can do that and play more than 70 games he should get max of 5-7 years making around 6-7mil a year. Eddy, I am still very skeptical of. we NEED 20 points a game from him and we need to see him WANTING to be a force on offense in order for him to get any kind of "big" contract from the Bulls.
