Sweet mother of mercy. If the preseason is an indicator of what's to come.....Vinsanity will return in full swing. Vince has had some of the most incredible dunks in his career in the past couple of games. look at the reverse alley oop against philladelphia and the dunk on dalembert. Hes back ladies and gentlemen.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Pre-season doesn't really mean anything. It's nice to see him doing dunks (2 stand-outs isn't really that much) but you can't say "he's back" based on 2 dunks that were mediocre to pretty good at best.
He hasn't gotten to the line nearly enough as he should be, I'd like to see more of that. In the second half of last year he was getting to the line 6 times a game, that's what I'd like to see.
Its pretty bad, when someone in their mid 20's is looked upon as being "vintage" when he prefroms a few dunks.
the games dont mean anything in pre-season...but how the players play is everything. vince hasnt been getting to the line very much, but he's logging just over 20 mins of clock a game and i agree...vince is looking great. its not "just a couple dunks" its his play in general. he's been playing better D, he's been attacking the rack like it slapped his mother...he's looking great. i cant wait till the season starts to see if he keeps it up. every pre-season game has had some good highlites. i wouldnt call any of them "some of the best of his career" but vince is certainly looking really good
Last year's season-opener against the Nets where Vince scored 39 (I think) was a point where I also thought that Vince was back. Then his performance for the rest of the season dampened by optimism. This year, I'll wait till 30 games into the season where I'll make a statement like that again.
me personally, I judge Vince by his hops. And he is hoppin like he did in 2001. Hes a great jump shooter, his defense has been good and his dunks have been amazing. I know the preseason doesnt mean anything....im just sayin it looks like hes healthy this year because he is jumping so high. Call me crazy, but i think hes back
maybe vc will try this year since he did want to leave. if i wanted out of a team, i might try harder to other teams notice and try to trade for me. just my 2 cents
okay there aren't any haters, we all want to see the raptors do well and any success is predicated on vince having a good season. but hope can be a wretched thing, a lot of us have lost faith in vince. thats why i believe the hope for the raptors revolves around bosh and the real potential of a breakout year in a forward weak, eastern conference.
those who said preseason doesnt mean much are right.. its just an indication of wats to come.. but i dunno why ppl are talkin about teh foul shooting in preseason. i wouldnt try to draw fouls in preseason, get banged up for nothing.. its so pointless.. preseason is for those trying to prove something to their coach to earn a bigger role in the team.. vince shouldnt evne be playing in my oppinion
Guys, Vince was already "back" last season. He played 73 games, which was probably his biggest accomplishment, and he carried the load night in and night out even during the time when the Raptors had no shot for the playoffs.

Now I don't want to compare Vince to Maggette, Maggette is a tank and is probably the strongest swingman in the league, so he can take the punishment, but if Vince can get between 6-8 in the season I'll be happy.
I agree with Chungster. Yeah he is back but when i mean back....i mean highlight material back. The old vince is back...at least so far he is.

He can't put the ball on the floor and create for teammates really well, he needs to improve that, he's not horrible at it, but isn't that good, but he's only attempting 11.3 shots per game, he gets all his points at the line, and their's no Brand or Kittles, so I don't know who else is supposed to shoot on the team? Bobby Simmons? Wilcox? Kaman? Livingston? Jaric? Him and Wilcox are the only real offensive threats on the team right now

Yea, Kittles has some injury don't remember what, and I think Brand's knee is sore. No not really Kaman, it will be Brand and Maggette, Kaman is still getting used to knowing the right oppurtunities on offense. He was talking about how in the NBA it's much different because if you take a bad shot inside, you'll get blocked. The team won't really be going to him. Wilcox will get touches when he's in, and Brand and Maggette will be the ones controlling the ball.
