<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">UNCASVILLE, Conn., Oct. 23 (Ticker) -- LeBron James continues to show leadership traits in his second pro season. James, last season's Rookie of the Year, scored 16 of his game-high 21 points in the second half as the Cleveland Cavaliers came from behind to defeat the Boston Celtics, 96-91, in a preseason contest. Boston opened the second half with a 12-0 run in the first five minutes to take a 60-50 lead. Cleveland missed its first seven shots during the Celtics' run. The Cavaliers turned things around with a 14-2 run to take an 81-75 lead early in the fourth quarter. Boston could get no closer than three points down the stretch. Jeff McInnis poured in 16 points and Drew Gooden added 14 to help Cleveland win for the fourth time in five preseason games, despite attempting just one 3-pointer in the contest. Jiri Welsch scored 20 points while Ricky Davis had 18 for Boston, which lost its fifth straight game. Celtics swingman Paul Pierce sat out with a sprained ankle, while forward Tom Gugliotta was not with the team for personal reasons. Cleveland center DeSagana Diop did not play due to a sprained finger and guard Dajuan Wagner sat out with a sprained ankle.</div> http://www.nba.com/games/20041023/CLEBOS/recap.html
Beating the Celtics by 5 points when PP isn't playing does not impress me. Lebron averaged almost 21ppg last year, and I believe scored 25 in his rookie debut. So why is his scoring 21 points making the news?
LeBron had 8 dimes against the Celtics tonight. Big Drew coming up with 25 points and 10 boards. He is beasting this preseason leading the league in preseason rebounding. Cavaliers with a great preseason record so far also, 4-1 I believe? Might be 5 now, im not a real stat boy to look it up. Preseason really means nothing stat wise or standing wise anyhow. They are here to make adjustments and to build chemistry. In 8 days, the real stuff will come and we will find out what the Cavaliers are really made of. BTW Jurassic, get off the hateraid man. Your really starting to sound like a troll.

Hmm just cause your team doesn't have an impact player like LeBron James don't get mad at us.. And don't even lie if you had James on your team you would be all over him.. so just stfu and talk about the game besides talking shit.
I am not on anyones "you know what". You continuely bash the Cavaliers and I am just sticking up for my team. And by the reading your last post, you definatly are a troll.
Gooden has always been a monster on boards, let's hope the Cavs' winning attitude can help him for a career year, unlike last season when he was on the Magic.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Infante:</div><div class="quote_post">And by the reading your last post, you definatly are a troll.</div> No, you just assumed that my first post was made out of hatred, when really it was valid. Lebron scored 21 points and someone wrote an article about it. Since he AVERAGED about 21 ppg last year, his scoring 21 points in a game is mediocre, and mediocrity in sports is not news worthy IMO. I also pointed out the fact that he scored 25 points in his rookie debut. All I was trying to prove is that this article should have never been put in print. Write an article when he scores 40 and wins, or when he score 3 and loses. But don't write an article when he does the same thing that he does every night.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NuSpace:</div><div class="quote_post">Um... This was a game recap. They gotta write about something.</div> Yeah, but this is the first sentence of the article: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LeBron James continues to show leadership traits in his second pro season.</div> Having an average night with 21 points is showing leadership?
A leader doesn't have to score a huge amount of points to be effective. LeBron did other things during the game also, pulling down 4 boards and handing out 8 assists. I consider someone averaging these numbers on a consistant basis leaderlike. What kind of leader would LeBron be if he scored 40 points 0 rebound and 0 assists? That wouldn't be a leader that would be a selfish player, but you are wise, so I assume you should know that.
Well said, Infante. A leader doesn't need to be someone that can go out and score points. A leader is someone that can show leadership, and come up when you need a big play. For all I care, He can go out there and score 0 points and have 10 assists, and 100 rebounds...

Jealousy and envy is the root of all evil. As a Cavalier fan, you get used to trolls like this one. You just have to brush them off, they are always trying to let you down. I too would be content with LeBron scoring under double figures but continuing to run smooth plays for the team, scrape the boards and swipe a few steals. If anyone out there thinks that LeBron isn't a leader, they are speaking out of context, because the only people that say these things don't even see the games. They look at points. If you want to see someone go score 40-50 points you are in the wrong forum. The Denver and Houston forum is further down the index.
