If James had more skills than dunking he'd be in the NBA, but he could still be a second round pickor if he drastically improves get picked late first or soemthing. ....anyways, he's only a Junior, and is starting SF this year, so he still has a chance.
James white....wasn't he and some other white dunker guy (forgot his name) the supposed cream of the crop for Florida State a couple of years bakc? Everyone used to compare James to VC before but it just fell off...he was supposed to make the league based entirely based on atheltiscm, much like Carter but I haven't heard about him in quite some time...
VC didn't make the leauge purely on athleticism...hes a good shooter and unstoppable off the bench. also an amazing slasher and finisher. you should see some of the finishes he makes. you wont believe it until you see it
Are you talking about now or before, he didn't make the league this year, when he came he wasn't a good outside shooter, but he did have a decent mid-range jumper, was a good passer, he was known as a good defender in college, but a lot of his ranking was on athleticism and slashing ability.

Even his mid-range J was suspect at times, his game was mostly based on athetlism and many were skeptic about how a guy with a limited shooting range would fare in the NBA but he proved all the doubters wrong. His defense was also based on athelticsm and quickness (blocking and stealing), I'm not sure he was that good of a one on one defender but I remember him averaging 1 steal and 1 block during his rookie year.

VC was not a good defender...ever. They only took him because he was exciting, at the time, and he had potential.
