Do you think that the reason he's doing this is to give the Wolves more incentive to trade Wally? I'm not saying it's a good strategy, but you do have to admit that he is a fan favorite, showed veteran savvy in the playoffs, and is still an asset with his slashing skills. In a period in which we have entertained the notion of trading Wally, him doing this would further that incentive.
yeah, that would be in fact a good strategy, though he probably just wants his extension, for all that he has done for the timberwolves, they should pay him some mind...
Sprewell did like the trade idea to New York, here is a quote from him: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"That would have been a great move for us," Sprewell said of Thomas, one of the few former Knicks he still keeps in contact with. "He would be perfect for this team. No question."</div> As you have heard probably, him and KG also don't get along very well. Maybe it is a strategy by Sprewell, but I doubt it.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Then there is the very real drama of Kevin Garnett's disdain for Wally Szczerbiak. Although this is nothing new, one source says it's about to explode as Garnett continues to rally his close teammates to freeze out Szczerbiak. Szczerbiak doesn't hold the same disdain for Garnett as much as he just doesn't trust him and how he has been made an outsider. The T-Wolves need to resolve this problem by dealing Szczerbiak before it erupts. The two top candidates are Portland, where he would be a perfect fit, and New York, his hometown team. The Blazers actually have the better deal, with Shareef Abdur-Rahim a classic low-post scorer and rebounder to complement Garnett. The Blazers are in dire need of a great shooter like Szczerbiak, who is also an exceptional fit for a community frustrated by the inability of the team to come up with players they can love and trust. Abdur-Rahim is a class act but out of position at small forward. </div> That should answer your question...
