surprised noone started a thread about this...the bulls made a great comeback to beat the wizards in chicago, but while down by 16, it appears to me (still cant make it out all the way; i only saw the highlights) that larry hughes pushed hinrich into deng while deng was running towards the hoop for an easy score, deng fell down hard, hinrich got up pushed hughes, and then all of a sudden, anotnio davis runs after brendan haywood; haywood is back peddling trying to use the ref as a shield but davis gets him in a headlock and throws him to the floor and once separated, davis freed his leg and walked away from haywood, who was still on the ground, lol...how much fighting did haywood do? lol, after this happened, he wasn't even ejected, still in the game...very good game for the bulls, faught (literally) to beat the wizards up and came back from a huge deficit to win the game, scoring 100 points. [you can go to espn.com and go to the nba section and click on video highlights on the left side and should be there, it plays in espn motion].
Omg I saw it on ESPN this morning, that was pretty nasty. Antonio Davis was going crazy! lol I love see the the ref`s who are 4`10 try to seperate a brawl between two seven footers. And coaches trying to seperate it, lol the whole thing was hilarious.
I was actually gonna post this. Larry Hughes is a dirty basketball player, he could've caused serious injuries to Kirk or Deng by doing that. Haywood punched AD, and then started running away. AD then tackled him, and it appears that Curry punched him on the leg. And out of all of this, Ruffin gets ejected? Haywood better be fined/suspended if AD is. (And he will be)
Antonio davis is a beast and a old beast if that. Haywood is a little boy to him, know wonder Brendan was running like a little beeatch, lol.
Antonio Davis is one of the strongest players in the league, it would be even silly for Shaq to mess with that dude. My sister was at the game, she said it was great, better than most regular season game. Her b/f said the atmosphere was like that of a playoff game.
When AD was running after Haywood he landed a punch to the right side of Haywoods face. Then he tackled it. It was great...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rim-Rocca:</div><div class="quote_post">ya i saw that, dirty move by hughes. that fight against AD and haywood was pretty funny though.</div> Huges is mad because he never reached his potential as a player. and Hinrich was working him like a dog
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting michiganave17:</div><div class="quote_post">Huges is mad because he never reached his potential as a player. and Hinrich was working him like a dog</div> Yeah because Hughes is such a geezer being all of 25 years old, his career is long gone.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">that fight against AD and haywood was pretty funny though.</div> If you mean funny as in pathetic and and you had to laugh at it, then I agree. Haywood played the punk role on that one. Straight up hit and run. Sad to see a guy his size run like a little girl. Hughes foul was a cheap shot and stupid, there's no doubt about that, but let's not talk about the demise of his career just yet. He's already put up better numbers than alot of young guys and still has alot of years ahead of him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BBall Guru:</div><div class="quote_post">Oh, and Eddy Curry. That was really a punk move by him. That was just stupid...</div> Seriously, hitting someone in the sack when they are being held down a restrained by 10 guys, and then walking away.
i love how u all castigate hughes as a "dirty player" when a white player is involved in the fray. heinrich is a notorious punk, he tried to instigate a fight with ronald "flip" murray at the rookie/sophomore game last year cause flip pulled a playground move on him. i wonder aloud if u same advocates for clean play were calling out john stockton on his dirty tactics? and did anybody catch the chicago sports commentator france passport analogy in relation to haywood's cowardice? obviously he isn't well versed in world history, cause he wouldn?t have know that the americans sat out 40% of WW2 while the french were fighting valiantly. And he probably wouldn?t know that the Americans can thank the french for their much heralded freedom cause while your forefathers were engaging in their boston tea party massacres, the french were agitating the british abroad in real wars.
Dang this sounds bad,I have to try and find the highlight for it.But here are the punishments received by the players: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wizards center Brendan Haywood has been suspended three games without pay for his role in an altercation with Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich and subsequently throwing punches and fighting with Bulls forward/center Antonio Davis. Washington guard Larry Hughes has been suspended one game without pay for initiating an altercation with Hinrich by head-butting him and for his role in the subsequent altercation. Haywood and Hughes will begin serving their suspensions with the Wizards first game of the 2004-05 NBA regular season on Wednesday, November 3 against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum. Chicago forward/center Antonio Davis has been suspended two games without pay for punching and fighting with Haywood, and Bulls forward/center Eddy Curry has been suspended two games without pay for throwing a punch at Haywood and his role in the altercation. Hinrich has been fined $10,000 for his role in the altercation and shoving Hughes. Davis and Curry will begin serving their suspensions with the Bulls first game of the 2004-05 NBA regular season on Friday, November 5 when they host the New Jersey Nets at United Center </div> Link

Hinrich couldn't realistically cause a major injury to Flip by fighting. Larry Hughes could've seriously injured Deng or Hinrich (most likely Luol). Perhaps even a career-altering injury, so please, don't tell me what he did wasn't dirty. I'm not saying what Kirk did was right. But what Hughes did is a hell of a lot worse than what Hinrich did.
Very interesting fights. Looks like this season going to be a ehated one. Many altercations and rivalries and bad feelings all around, and it's only the pre-season! I'm lovin this, looks to be an exciting season for the NBA. Must be all of the changes. Now, to the fight. That was a truley horrible move by Hughes to push Kirk. I'm surprised Kirt didn't punch him as soon as he got up. Instead, they exchanged words and Haywood comes out of nowhere and punches him. Davis gets mad, starts pointing at Hughes, and then Haywood sucker punches someone else again. This time it's Davis and this time he goes after him. Haywood runs away like a little girl and AD tackles him down. Meanwhile Eddy Curry wants a peice of the action. Lovin it.
This fight was a bunch of cheap shots starting with Hughes doing a dirty shove to the back of Heinrich to intefere with Deng's layup. I don't think Hughes expected Deng to be under cut like that, but still a very dirty play. The next cheap shot came from Haywood sucker punching AD while a ref tried to break up their shoving match. I'm not sure what Haywood was thinking messing with AD. AD is one of the toughest players in the NBA, and we all saw how fast Haywood backed down and then got tossed to the court. And finally the best cheap shot of the rumble came from Eddie Curry. After watching AD and Haywood wrestle on the floor he calmly walked up to the pile and nailed Haywood in the nutsack. December 4th just be came a must see match up for me, when the Bulls visit the Wizards in Washington.
