I thought I'd join the parade and see what you all think of my team. It's a head-to-head Yahoo league, and turnovers aren't a category. There are 8 of us in the league, I had the #6 pick (the draft snakes). Here's who I got in order: Dirk Nowitzki Ray Allen Amare Stoudemire Steve Nash Kenyon Martin Carmelo Anthony Z. Ilgauskas Brent Barry Theo Ratliff Jason Williams Stephen Jackson Mike Dunleavy Darrel Armstrong
I like all of those picks. If you take out turnovers, that helps whoever has a lot of SG's, and you actually have very few of them. Pierce/Iverson in particular get a bump. Anyway, Stoudamire seems to be taken a bit early (#22?) but not too out of place. Ratliff that late is a good pick for a head-to-head since he can singehandedly alter the block category any given week. The only criticism is that Darrell Armstrong may not make much of a fantasy impact as compared to previous seasons because of J.R. Smith's rise, which would give Wesley the chance to backup Davis, thus cutting into the minutes. I might try to get a sleeper for that backup spot instead.
Amare is going to have a great year this year... I had him as my 2nd pick overall in a head to head yahoo... he's definetly at least going to put up 20 and 10 any given night with 2 blocks handed iwth that... a great player and fantasy player... especially with a pass first pg in PHO now
