After 1 quarter, 24-14 Lakers. Chris Mihm had 13 points and 4 rebounds. Melo doing pretty much everything so far. 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Kobe looks good sharing the ball. Both Odom, and Kenyon have to stay out of foul trouble in the second quarter when they come back.

I already like Mihm better than Shaq.

I wonder what Barkley and Steven A. Smith are thinking right now? And Shaq and Phil? Hmm.

Mihm looks really good. 19 points, 9 rebounds. Nuggets just can't hit a jumpshot to save their lives. They have to take it inside more, because they arn't really getting anything from the perimeter.

Sir Charles On Why The Nuggets Are Loosing:

"They got 3 good players in Nene, Camby, and Martin but they all play the same position, they also don't have the size on Mihm, Well Mihm is, I don't know right now with a chuckle. He is looking like Kareem with a laugh."

So wheres the nuggets great inside presence. Look likes its the Lakers with Mihm.

Man I love Mihm, he was a steal this offseason!!!!! [IMG]

Barkley just has to talk bad about Denver because he looks ignorant if he doesn't...because he did what ALOT of guys are doing, and that is making a bad judgement about the Lakers.

Ha! I liked Barkley's comment at halftime - Mihm looked like Kareem in the middle!!! Will be an interesting second half to see how Denver responds

I guess the Lakers can score inside despite what Screaming A. Smith and Greg Anthony think.

And just as quick as that an 8-0 run by the Nuggets. Laker's gotta keep attacking.

I hate Kmart he's too big of a show off.

Good thing Lenard got injured right when he was heating up (hope he's ok though, after this game of course, lol)

And to think ESPN kept screaming A. Smith over David Aldridge is just crazy...

Where are all of these guys that came into our forums and called Kobe selfish??? Where? This is the Kobe era...this game represents everything I have been preaching about Kobe Bryant.

Western Conference, here we come. NBA, here we come.

Lakers grabbed a nice win tonite. This game was very encouraging, and Mihm was huge. The defense looks impressive, but they still need to defensive rebound.

I'm going to the game tommorow night vs. the Jazz, so I'll post my thoughts when I get home.

Too bad for Voshon though, out for a long time, that really hurts their team.

Great win by the Lakers tonight. Mihm played sensational, as he scored as much as Martin, Camby, and Nene combined. I'm really liking him right now, but, you can't assume too early as it's just one game. And to those who said Kobe is selfish, only 14 shot attempts and 7 assists. Those don't look like all that selfish of stats to me. However, out of all the good things happening tonight, there was one grey spot to me. The play of Lamar Odom. He has simply not played well in a Laker uni so far. Had a rough preseason and didn't play well last night, as he only scored 5 points on 2/8 shooting in 25 minutes. He needs to get those stats up. The Lakers are relying on him to put a lot better numbers than what he did tonight, so hopefully he can. But, aside from that, the game looked very good for the Lakers. And considering they beat a team that was highly touted to be a contender this year, it's an even better win.

Like KB said he will do what is needed for the team to win and that is what he did tonight. Instead of going into his attack mode he when to assists mode (7) he should only do it when its necessary. The Nuggets game plan was to stop him by double teaming and by trapping him but this is a new team that can shoot.

    Go LAKERS!!!!

Gyeaaaah Boooyy!!!! Mihm having a career high of 23 points only 4 in the 2nd half but still great game. And is it me or did I see Brian Cook hit outside jumpers and threes? Haha, did Brian hit one or 2 because he shocked the hell outta Doug Collins. To bad the Lakers started dying out at the end but still good win.
