Damn, Boozer looked like Karl Malone out there tonight. And Kirilenko was amazing. Congratulations on a great game, Utah.

Great game from the Jazz, almost everything went right. Boozer, Kirilenko and Harpring all had great games. Nearly everyone else had a good game aswell. The Jazz scoring 100+ is rare, but the best part was backing it up by keeping the other team under 80. There are some great signs there for the Jazz, it's just a matter of staying healthy and keeping that level of play up over a long season.
I do believe the Lakers can come back from this, they we're playing one night after a game vs. Nuggets and if Kobe had some help from other Lakers who were shooting well, this one would've been close. The Lakers also need to improve their passing, 7 assists total is just shooting yourself in the foot.

AK is simply a stud, he really is the closest thing I've seen to Scottie Pippen. When you consider who the Jazz were without but still managed to destroy the Lakers you can't help but notice how good a coach Jerry Sloan is. Carlos Boozer really destroyed the Lakers.

I was interested in seeing how Okur would fair but It seems he is struggling seeing through his eye. He looked a little lost in your offense bu I'm sure It will come.

Yeah, Okur bobbled a bunch of passes and rebounds, too. The ball bounced off his head twice during the game. [IMG]

What exactly happened to Okur? Or is there a thread about it? *looks around*

Seems he has had trouble seeing through his eye, don't know how It happened. Maybe in practise? Memo still had 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks though. Not that bad I guess. His offense should come in time.

    Actually, I found the thread.

Stockton hooked the fans up with the source...that he was poked in the eye during a Saturday practice. I'm glad I've never been stabbed in the eye that hard to lose my vision for 5 days, maybe more.

the Jazz looked good last night. Howard Eisely looked GREAT in the system. I guess it's like riding a bike, right? (I mean, how could you forget a guy like Sloan gnawing on your butt at practice for five years?)

The offense was good - they are running the plays well. But was amazed me was the transition baskets. The defense was great and it created a lot of transition baskets. Even Keith McCloud looked excellent! They turned a running team (Lakers) into a halfcourt set and ran them on defense.

I doubt they an keep the shooting up (they were shooting the lights out!) and they looked exceptionally good on positioning and footwork in the post. Last night will probably not be another consistent repeat for another season or so, but look for the Jazz to be VERY good in a few seasons. I think last night was a tantilizing glimpse of what they are capable of creating.

I think the Jazz did about as well as anyone could of expected them too. I love this Jazz team. I am now a believer in Keith McLeod, I am still ready for Arroyo and Lopez to come back, but 8 assist is pretty impressive for the 3rd string. While it didn't totally make me forget Mo, it got my mind off of it. On to AK, nothing else can be said, he is amazing, all I had to say is "Thank You, Mr. Miller for paying that $86 million." Then Boozer was equally great, 27 and 11 in your Utah debut, just keep it up. And thank you again Mr. Larry Miller for spending $68 million there. Next up is my boy Matt Harpring, the heart and soul last year, if he keeps up his solid play off the bench, along with Raja, I think we could have the best bench in the league. And then there is what I believe is the X-factor for this team, Big Curtis Borchardt, and I was really impressed with his 6 and 5 with a few blocks, I will be really pleased if he could stay healthy and give us those numbers for the season. Finally there was Okur, and he left me scratching my head, but lets hope once he gets his vision back, I think he'll be a force.
Overall this Jazz team is going to give teams fits on offense and defense and hustle.
    Next up: Golden State.

I was at the game and it was one of the worse played games I've ever seen in my life by the Lakers, Jazz totally dominated that game.

Kirilenko has been amazing this year, he's held his opponents to just an amazing 12% shooting and is blocking shots left and right, he's the front runner for defensive player of the year thus far.
