Akron Beacon Journal (registration required): "At the top of the list is the future of two starters, Jeff McInnis and Zydrunas Ilgauskas, two men who are about to embark on the most important season of their careers. Both will be free agents at the end of the season, and there may be perhaps no bigger player in next summer's free-agent market than the Cavaliers... Cleveland isn't McInnis' home. Charlotte is, and the new Bobcats will be a major player in the free-agent market. "</div>

I hope we can resign both Jeff and Z.

Jeff is a great, underrated pointguard. He fits in very well with the team. Plays seem to be run much smoother with him as the pg. Jeff is a major contributor for us.

Z is a top 5 center in the league. Everything comes much easier when you have that kind of presence in the middle. He has been a big part of the Cavs through the years. I want to see him finish his career here.

Hopefully both of them ask for reasonable contracts so we can sign them.

Z is a great talent, and has managed to be healthy over the past couple of seasons. I don't think he gets enough touches though. Looks like he'll get some of Boozers touches this year, but I'm not sure if he fits well in this system, where LeBron floorishs by the up and down pace.

I'm afraid Big Z is going to be let go after the season is over. We just don't have the money to give him a big contract like he deserves.

Like yoiu said, he will get some of Boozer's touches. and so will Gooden.

    Should be an exciting season!

I hope Big Z stays, he's a great center and I would've had him in the allstar game last year if it were up to me. Z is going to want a lot of money and I dont think the Cavaliers can afford Z. Im with Petitt33, Z is going to be let go after this season.

Redd would probably command a near-max deal...

It's hard to say how much Dalembert will be worth, Jim O'Brien has benched him, but it's not to farfetched to see some big offers thrown at him at the end of the season purely based on potential.

If Cleveland could land Michael Redd alone, that would be a huge coup, and probably see the Cavs leapfrog Indiana in the power rankings. They would probably have enough firepower to overcome Detroit eventually, too.

If we lose Z, we lose a very VERY important player in our O. Z last year was the best center in the East and most likely in the top 5 in the league. The way to win in this league is to have good Big men, and I don't think the Cavs can take a chance to let him go only to have it come back to hurt them. The dream offseason next year would be signing Redd and resigning Z. [IMG]
