<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">One of the suprise rookies to come out of the 2004 class may be the 76ers Andre Iguodala, who has not only been turning heads in his first month with the team but he has beat out former All-Star Glenn Robinson for the starting small forward spot. "It's scary to say, but I just can't believe he's a rookie, the way he's playing," Sixers star guard Allen Iverson said. "He came in, he goes about his business, he won the starting job." </div> Link Can you say Rookie of the Year???
Andre Iguodala Rookie Of The Year? I don't think so. He has a chance at being runners-up at BEST for the ROY, but that aside, he will NOT get the ROY. I for one believe, Dwight Howard will get the honors but that?s another story. Iguodala on the other hand is surrounded by tons of good players, so it would be very difficult for him to get it. First there is Allen Iverson. The player whom vowed to change and will do whatever it takes to win this season. So Allen Iverson alone can rule out Iguodala chances at getting the ROY, so I won't even get to the others because it's no needed. And just to mention, there is a player that averages 20 PPG that will be battling to regain his starting spot. And Robinson being the veteran he is and Iguodala being the newcomer that he is, the starting spot can easily be taken away from Iguodala. But what I do know is that Iguodala may end up being in the Slam Dunk contest, and will without a doubt be in the Rookie and Sophomore game?granted that he does not get injured.
I don't know about rookie of the year with Luol Deng, Dwight Howard, and Emeka Okafor there, but he'll have a good year, good all-round stats, 9 points. 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.2 steals, something like that.
