    Q & A With Antonio Mcdyess

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Q. How do you like things here thus far?

A: It?s been great. I have never been on a team where everything just goes as well as they do in practices and in games. The impression I am getting is that everything is coming around real quickly. Normally, it takes a lot more time.

Q: What is it that sets this team apart from the others you?ve been on?

A: Coaching, definitely. LB (Larry Brown), it starts with him. And the players on this team know how to play ball. Players on this team know their role and know how to play.

Q: You have been paired up a lot toward the end of camp with Rasheed Wallace. It looks like you enjoy playing with each other.

A: Playing with Rasheed definitely makes the game easier for a guy like myself. I never really knew that Rasheed knew the game as well as he does. He really knows how to play, and it makes it easier for the other big guys he?s out there with.

Q: Then you throw Ben Wallace into the mix, right?

A: Yeah (laughing), could you imagine us three on the court together? Sheed could play the three (small forward). It would be real fun to watch. I don?t think anyone could come into the paint and get a shot up against us.

question: i don't remember watching Dyess during his peak. was he a decent outside shooter? i haven't really seen an outside touch from Dyess during the preseason.

or is he more of a Amare Stoudamire-like player who relies on getting to the rim?

i was hoping Dyess would have an outside touch at least as good as Elden Campbell's baseline J.

He was always a good 10-15 foot shooter, he wasn't badly from 18 feet either. His speed was his strong part. A guy with post moves and quickness is basically impossible to guard, which he was. Will be interesting If he can get close to that form this year.

He was defintely more intimidating than Amare, by far. Also I was like a Shawn Kemp kinda player down low with more power when jumping and attacking the rim.
