This post is specifically to compare Brady's passing numbers to Mcnabbs passing numbers. It is in response to my assertion that bradys number blow away Mcnabbs and E4L's that they dont. 1st Brady has started 62 games to Mcnabbs 79. Brady Mcnabb Yards - Total 13,925 16.926 To Mcnabb only by virtue of starts Yards per start 224.6 214.2 Brady actually passes for more yards Attempts 2018 2586 Mcnabb again has a lead Attempts/start 32.5 32.7 but same attempts per game. Yards per Att 6.90 6.55 Brady just produces more TDs 91 118 Mcnabb with more TD/start 1.47 1.49 Mcnabb producing slightly more TD % 4.51% 4.56% Mcnabb with a slight lead Comp % 61.6% 58.3% Brady crushes Mcnabb INTs 52 57 Brady less, but. . . INT % 2.58% 2.20% Mcnabb throws picks Sacked 130 215 Mcnabb has taken way more Sack per drop 5.62% 6.73% I thought he was mobile? QB Rating 87.5 83.9 Brady wins this one. *-I used every rushing attempt in calculation for sack per drop. I realize they both probably ran draws(mcnabb more than brady) but i did this to give Mcnabb the most favorable sack per drop number possible Other interesting facts 1) Brady's QB rating every year of his career is higher than Mcnabb's current career QB rating. Where as Mcnabb basically has this year pulling his way up. 2) Brady completed 60% of his passes every year of his career. Mcnabb only once. 3) Both have thrown for 20 or more TDs in a year 3 times, If not for injury Mcnabb would have done it 4, and if brady had started all the games his 2nd year(1st starting) he would have probably done it 4 or every year of his career. 4) Brady is more consitent. He has thrown for 3500 yards in each full season he played. Mcnabb only did it this year, and was never on pace in any other shortened season. 5) They both have 6 tackles Well so much for a move to defense
I dont get it. How exactly is he blowing him away??? McNabb has a higher TD% and lower INT%, he throw 10 yards less per game, which is 160 per season. Let's also look at rushing yards (Attempts, yards, avg, TD's) McNabb: 390 2459 6.3 20 Brady: 163 244 1.5 2 That's a huge disparity. I dont want to get into this. Both of them are very good QB's. Brady has 3 Super Bowl and he gets the edge.

No, we are looking at the complete package. McNabb has a whole dimension to his game that Brady cant even touch, and makes it harder for a defense to gameplan for.
Now i will compare how Mcnabbs Numbers stack up at the same point in thier careers. What Mcnabbs numbers looked like at this point in his career. This will take away the huge experience advantage Mcnabb has of an extra season of play. Brady Mcnabb Yards - Total 13,925 13,051 Brady by 1000 Yards per start 224.6 203.9 Brady actually passes for more yards Attempts 2018 2117 Mcnabb again has a lead Attempts/start 32.5 33.01 but same attempts per game. Yards per Att 6.90 6.16 Brady just produces more TDs 91 87 Mcnabb with more TD/start 1.47 1.35 Mcnabb producing slightly less TD % 4.51% 4.11% Brady better at this point Comp % 61.6% 57% Brady crushes Mcnabb INTs 52 49 Brady more, but. . . INT % 2.58% 2.31% Mcnabb better 2 less picks per 1000 attempts Sacked 130 183 Mcnabb has taken way more Sack per drop 5.62% 6.91% I thought he was mobile? QB Rating 87.5 79.3 Brady wins this one going away As you can see, if you take and compare them at an even point in thier careers(64 starts) Brady is basically bloing Mcnabb out of the water.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eagles4Life)</div><div class='quotemain'>No, we are looking at the complete package. McNabb has a whole dimension to his game that Brady cant even touch, and makes it harder for a defense to gameplan for.</div> What dimension? He only produces a slightly higher percentage of his runs for first downs 30% to 37%, and he gets sacked way more per dropback.
he didn't do any running in the super bowl... what happened to him and his running ability? I think he is a good QB, I just think that Tom Brady will go down in history as a better QB. but then again i am a little bias living in new england.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eagles4Life)</div><div class='quotemain'>What about the fact that McNabb has 18 more Rushing TD's then Brady???</div> I would attribute those to more attempts at the 1 yard line. Since Philly has no power back they QB sneak it in, where as NE powers it in with thier backs. I looked back at last 2 years Sit stats and every one the TDs were from inside the 20 where he averaged like 2 ypc
One thing you failed to mention BF1 is that McNabb was the #2 pick overall in 1999 whereas Brady was the 199th pick overall in 2000.
Anyway. I think this exericise shows that these are both very good QB's. I dont know exactly what we are arguinging about. Your boy Vinny has 75.4 career passer rating, and you are putting him in the HOF.

Tim Couch was the 1st overall pick, and he's at home now. Roger Staubach was the 199th overall pick as well, and he's in the HOF. Where you are picked is irrelevant in this case.

I have proven that brady is a better QB in this very post, super bowl wins excluded

Everyone knows that.
