Yuta Tabuse officially became the 1st Japanese player in the NBA.

I'm really excited about this, I think he will be a good player. Phoenix now has three foreign players at the point. More importantly though, these three players can blow by almost anyone in the L. Well, Nash is getting older and that may be a stretch, but he's still one of the quicker PGs. This is gonna be a fast running team.

I'm 100% Japanese, first generation, so yeah, I''m happy for the guy. I don't see Nash being healthy for all 82 games, so he'll be good insurance for the Suns. As for Magic's comment, since when did pre-season numbers mean anything? As a Celtic fan who watched Kedrick Brown tear it up in pre-season every year, I know something about that. Have you seen this guy play in any extended minutes? He's really pretty good, if not for his height, he would have made a team a while ago.

I see him playing 3 or 4 minutes on this stacked Suns team. But it is a great accomplishment but at the same time makes us look down on the basketball world when the NBA has been around what 54 years? And we just got a Japanese player. I hope to see more of them in the NBA, and ones not 5'9.

Umm...has nothing about some type of purposed racial hatred or barriar, its about skill..plain and simple. Look at all of the euro players who are comming to the NBA. They are comming because they have skill. GM's don't care if they can speak english. They don't even care if they can speak. They just need to be able to ball....

Hey all you doubters, Yuta is #1 in the League in 3 pt %, free throws per 48, and free throw %, #3 in free throw attempts per 48, #4 in free throws made per 48, and #7 in points per 48, LOL. (sarcasm is something that doesn't exist in Japan, but I'm starting to catch on after years living in the US [IMG])

who the hell cares if there are 3 foreign players on the team, they are there because the suns think they have the talent to be on the team. this isn't an equal opportunity employer, no racial discrimiation, or like MLB and the NCAA where you have to interview black guys as part of the process, if you fit for the job youll get it, not "lets hire some blacks and mexican firefighters or cops to be more diverse even though they are weak and stupid as hell, itll make us more diverse" who the hell cares, totally pointless and irrelevent.
