Where do you see the Warriors ending up at the end of the season when it is playoff time. Will the drought be ended or will the curse of Cohan continue on? Make your predictions before the first game of the season!

It's so tough to predict what the season is going to be like when you have a new coach, but what the heck.

I'm going to say that the Warriors will end up with the record I'd predicted last year 42-38. There are going to be two keys to the season: 1) how soon the team can become proficient in Montgomery's offensive system and defensive schemes and 2) whether the team can stay injury free.

I have no idea how soon the team can pick up the offensive and defensive concepts, generally it takes 60 games to a whole season. We'll just have to hope Montgomery can continue to teach throughout the season, because he's made it pretty clear that they aren't comfortable in the offense right now.

As for health, every team needs to stay healthy if they want to win, so that shouldn't really be a factor, but as we all know, the Warriors have been snake bitten by injuries 3 of the past 4 years. If they can have a season more like '02/'03, it's going to make everything much easier.

Now the big question, will the Warriors make the playoffs? I don't know. I do know that the West is deeper than it's ever been. I think there are only two teams that don't have a realistic shot at the playoffs and those are the Clippers and Sonics. I also think there are only two standout teams, the T-Wolves and Spurs. That means there are 11 teams fighting for 6 spots and I don't think any of them will separate from the pack.

That would mean that we'll probably see those 11 teams have records ranging from 31-51 to 51-31. 42 wins should be enough for a 7 or 8 seed, but I don't know. To take a phrase from a different race going on right now, I think its "to close to call." (God, I'm going to be sick of hearing that phrase pretty soon.)

My predictions are going to be bold. I predict the Warriors will win 44 games this year. I think your math is of wtwalker. The season is 82 games long. If they win 42 gams they will be 42-40.

I See the Warriors winning 40-42 games this year.I have a hunch that there going to play better than they had in the past several seasons. If things fall into place within the next couple of seasons, than the Warriors could be a team to be reckioned with.

Good Luck to the Warriors this season.

I put my predictions in the season previews over in the exclusives section. I'd say we're going to end up somewhere between 30-52 and 38-44, which is out of the playoff picture almost all scenarios.

I don't think there's a Cohan curse yet, but more evidence could always sway me.

Man it's got to be Cohan doing it, it's like how those sports telecasters can mention free throw statistics and say how good someone is at free throw shooting and they miss the next shot after or as they're saying it. Pretty much blows my mind how they can do that.

I believe in the broadcaster jinx during free throws, but that's about it.

I think there's a newspaper sports' reporter jinx in the bay area too, though that may just be because everything happens just the opposite of what they say.

45-37. Although I am afraid of our financial situation in two years, I do like our current team...

Hopefully we'll get to Kwan's predictions if the warriors can go on a huge winstreak once they figure each other out and get their offense down. Their defense is pretty good for the most part.

Did I say 45? What I meant is that we will win 4.5 games. Dang. Forgot to put the dot. Heck, the way we are playing, even 4.5 games may be pushing...

The smirnoff club at the arena must be doing some good business after the first quarter is over. I like the coaching, but I just hate the roster right now. Mullin better talk his way into finding a trade that works for us soon. Hopefully a big man that can work his way inside. I'd even go for Shareef right about now. Give something to the Berkeley fans. Or... we can do something like Michael Redd for Jrich and Murphy. We need guards that can shoot and forwards that can go inside.

After the first three games I predict the warriors will win 27 games.
I think Murphy and especially J-rich can play bettter than they've shown. Also the team needs peitrus's energy. I think he can be the difference maker for this team. Just like he was last year near the end.
