Where in the world is (WITWI) Luke Recker these days? He was last seen in his senior season at Iowa averaging good numbers after a stint at Indiana before his horrible car accident. Has this guy even tried out with any NBA teams?
last I seen of Luke,he was on the Heat. He got cut though and haven't seen him or heard of him since.
Luke was a phenomenal player in college. The one thing that held him back though was when he messed up his knee during the Indiana game his junior year. At that point, Iowa was rolling. After that, they went on a slide until winning the tourney. His senior year, he had great numbers, but he couldn't lead his team anywhere. After that, I really don't know. EDIT: I do realize that the Hawks made the Big Ten Tourney Title Game his senior year, but, they didn't make the big dance. That's the only reason why I don't consider him a great leader.
If he wasn't in that car accident I think he would have stayed in Indiana and would be in the NBA right now. Last time I saw him play was when the Globetrotters played Iowa a couple years back. He was a real good player.

He spent the summer playing for the Pacers rookie league team but did not get an invite to training camp.

Girona picked up Robert Conley (Clayton State) as a replacement and he averaged in the high 20 PPG and played great defense. Girona traded Conley last week when it appeared Recker was about to sign with a Greek team. It is doubtful Recker will be as productive offensively or defensively as Conley. Girona's trade judgment is very questionable.
