Final 2 secs Miami led by 9, the full time FT handicap miami -7.5 looks so good, and so the 2nd half miami -5 looks good too.

At this moment, L James shot from far away as the buzzer sound, and its a sure missed. but the ball flied halfway, a miami player brushed the ball with his fingertips, so the ref declared goal tending and awards 3 points from a sure miss to cleveland. This is really very DISGUSTING!

this is totally an act for those who dont believe in acting/game fixing, would a normal players doing such act? Even if it is on target, is it worth to catch the ball in the sky who counts points wherever it flys, what if Miami is only winning by 2 points, would he dare to do that , a winning game became a loss game for this kind of foolish and crazy act?

well, just my comment...maybe i lost my bet so i said like this...

Are you talking about Dwyane Wade, when he intentionally hit the ball away from the rim? I doubt he'd do that if they were only up by two. I doubt any player would.

IMO, he did that out of nowhere because his mind was in the zone of dominating and to intimidate. Anyways the shot was off, I think it was gonna airball or brick but I'll look at the play again. It's not cheating it's called goal tending.

I don't understand your first sentence at all. What are those numbers???
Nobody is gonna try and goal tend that shot if they were up by 2. Noone in the NBA is that stupid. Oh btw, that ball wasn't "halfway". It almost hit the rim.

well, those are just the handicap...if you are in betting, u should know what's that mean......miami -7.5 means miami has to win by 8 to clear the handicap...
yeah...nobody in nba will be so stupid to goal tend that shot, but why he did that?

Heh, who knows. Maybe he got busted by Coach Van Gundy for doing that or by Pat Riley..we all know how strict Pat Riley is and he might have thought that that was not a mature thing to do. Or Maybe he did that for his friendship with L. James to get him his extra 3 points hehe

Actually...have you guys noticed alot of players doing this lately? I mean...for instance, if ayone watched the Denver/Minnesota game last night, it happened twice. Both times were after a foul was called, a non-shooting foul, and the guy shot the ball just to shoot it, and I think it was Camby who jumped up and grabbed it out of the air by the rim.

Garnett did this a few times last year in the playoffs and it was noticed...and Bill Walton mentioned it in his commentary and thought it was funny.

Maybe it's a way of saying, "No easy shots." I don't know.

Yeah Camby did it to mock KG, after he did it KG looked over at him and smiled. KG has done this throughout his career. As for players shooting after the foul, this has always been going on, it's not new.

It was actually Doug Collins who was commentating (not that it matters, and I'm not trying to be annoying by pointing that out). His take on it was that KG doesn't want the opponent to see their shots going in.

Garnett was tought to do that by his high school coach. It's a pretty good way to avoid a 3 point play oppurtunity.

btw I saw the clip again and the shot was gonna hit the far left edge of the backboard, wade didn't do nothing to alter the course of the shot. Oh well, still gave up 3pts. Bet Brons was happy about it though :-)
